We had a comfortable stay. It was a good base for exploring the area; we particularly enjoyed Portsmouth Spinnaker, Dockyard and Arundel Castle.

The accommodation was perfect. Spotlessly clean and having an en suite in each bedroom was perfect. Swift Cottage was central to what we wanted to visit.

December 2014
The cottage was well equipped, lovely and clean with everything we needed for our Christmas break. It was warm and cosy with central heating recently installed, we actually wanted the weather to turn chilly so we could appreciate the open fire, which we did and it was toasty. Would definitely come back again.

Have had a wonderful time staying at this cottage. It is warm, clean and comfortable and was excellent value for money. In a nice, quiet rural location but still close to the local towns. Would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be back.

Excellent location for so many attractions in Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton and many more. The added attraction of seeing the horses in the stables on site was most enjoyable. Most enjoyable holiday, well equipped cottage and cakes left by owner a very nice touch.

We enjoyed our stay in Swift Cottage and in particular the rural feel with the stables nearby. If we visit the area again we will certainly book Swift Cottage. We were located very centrally located for all the places in Hampshire we wanted to visit. Overall, it was indeed a home from home.

The location was great and the owners were wonderful to us and very hospitable. It was also a very nice touch to have a welcome pack left for us of home made cake and milk. The children also liked the fact that there were two horses in the stables opposite us that they could fuss and pet every day.

Good location, handy for supermarkets etc. and close to Portsmouth, Southampton, New Forest.
July 2014
Nice little cottage, well placed for travel to county wide attractions. Not made aware of building site right outside front door, noise, thick dust everywhere. Cottage incredibly hot, no blinds on windows so 5yr old was up at 5 am most mornings. No usable ground around it, basically waste ground outside, builders started at about 7am. Internally good, un impressed with site outside, noise, waste ground entrance, dust getting everywhere, if i'd known about construction I would NOT have booked.
December 2013
The cottage was clean, well equipt, lovely surroungings would go they again

Come away for a quiet week during half term, that's exactly what we got. Welcomed with a delicious home-made cake, lovely clean cottage suitable for 4 people. 1 double and 2 singles, both with ensuites. Plenty of living space for us and our young toddler, especially the washing machine. The owners are friendly and helpful, offering any help. Local farm and stables really nice, not overly busy so it doesn't not cause too much noise. Good location with local attractions close distances, enjoyed a visit to Marwell Zoo centre, Southampton City centre and Poultons Park.

We arrived later than planned but was able to get in the cottage after following our instructions. From this point on we were delighted. The cottage was clean and tidy and in a very good condition. There was a lemon cake and a bottle of milk waiting for us and all the tea and coffee we could drink. We did not meet the owners at any time, we would like to have thanked them personally and apologise for the mug that was broken. The cottage is super warm, we had to open doors and windows to cool down. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and stay there again if we are ever that way again.
January 2013
A nice cottage but during a wet October it was too cold. The only heating is via a log stove and it becomes tiresome to constantly feed the beast. There is no internet and even a phone signal is usually non-existent. The owner, a nice guy, is helpful and the home-made cake on arrival was a nice touch. We felt that the stabling of the horses was too intrusive for us although others may enjoy this aspect. The property is well placed for visits to many tourist spots and this is it's biggest plus.
