Situated on the shores of the lake that it shares its name, this little settlement is an ideal place for walkers, cyclists and fishing enthusiasts as well as nature lovers and bird watchers. These two larger settlements offer a variety of good shops, pubs and restaurants, although if you prefer open spaces, the beach at Barmouth is definitely the place to go and has been awarded a blue flag. With such spectacular scenery, this wonderful region has no shortage of places to see and things to do.

Apart from the comfortable accommodation and surrounding countryside, the help and friendliness of the owners was more than we have ever experienced in other self-catering properties; nothing was too much trouble for them, they are a lovely couple.

The views from the cottage were beautiful. We had a lovely day hiking up Cadair Idris, and it was made better as we could walk straight from the cottage. It felt as though we were directly in the mountains.

Gorgeous little cottage, loved having our own place for a week. Beautiful views everywhere we went. Far enough away from lots of people/buildings so was a private holiday but close enough to drive to get anything. The owners were so helpful and let us know lots of walks around the cottage and also about what nice places there are to visit. Lovely place and people, would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wonderful location, we were pleasantly greeted by the owners on our arrival who made us feel at home in the cottage. which continued right throught our stay. We are an active couple so staying pretty much at the foot of Cadir Idris could not have been any better. Coupled with being at the end of Tal-y-llyn. Certainly a picturesque location. The cottage was equiped for all you needs. Certainly had the cottagey feel, with a lovely log burning stove. The nearest shop is only a short pleasant drive away. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Wonderful spot to spend your vacation in all respects. We spent almost 2 weeks here, in this roomy for two, well equipped vacation cottage. As an added bonus the owners live right next door and are a wonderful wealth of info for the area.
