The Barn was in a pleasant country setting without being too remote - just what we were looking for. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive.

The accommodation was as described. A nice cottage in a small village, away from the bright lights of Ilfracombe. Everything was provided to make the stay a pleasant one.

Pretty looking barn , sweet upside down layout, but very bland interior. functional but not comfy. accomodation built into a hill, no good for people with walking issues. nice owners but thier own house is a stones throw away so a feeling of being watched was had, also another 3 lettings all mtres away, so not secluded at all.. lovely scones with cream on arrival was nice. the undercover games area was a real let down, it was an open shed full of building materials, cement mixer, kitchen renovations etc. there was a pinpong table and we did have fun, but considering our chosen , knowing the weather wouldnt be too good we were looking forward to the games room to fill our days. :( also the seating area is positioned on the (beautiful) lawn right in front of the owners home, so again didnt feel like sitting there really, the gardens are lovely and the 2 ponies are a lovely addition also, but i was suprised by the amount of dog/animal poo was around the gardens especially as the owner made a point that we clean up after the anials, so i assume i was neighbours free roaming dogs ? . all in all i would say it was sweet & nice but not too special and over priced , the price shot up during the half term week , which was dissapointing as well. we also had to share our vacation with the bulders doing renovations in the owner property :( and no wifi of internet !!!!

A very pretty cottage in Berrynarbor. It was well equipped and very clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful, living next door to the property. Dogs welcome, parking available and very convenient for Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Lovely pub and other amenities nearby. The welcome home made scones were delicious.
