Holiday home This newly renovated barn conversion is set next to a working farm in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Just four miles from the pretty market town of Bridgnorth and three from Much Wenlock, this property has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. With exposed beams and oak flooring, this barn conversion offers warm, welcoming accommodation for four people with a cosy sitting room, two bedrooms, a well-fitted kitchen and a private terrace with patio furniture. The property is also close to all local activities and amenities available in the area.
Area Divided into two very distinct halves - The High Town and Low Town - Brignorth is split by the red sandstone ridge on which it was built. These two halves are connected by winding streets and the steep funicular railway - allowing visitors to see what Charles I described as 'the finest view in all the kingdom'. The Saturday market offers a wonderful backdrop against which to explore the town whilst flowing below is the River Severn, providing many picturesque riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, using a variety of steam and diesel engines for its scenic route. Surrounding Bridgnorth are a selection of country parks, great houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, Ironbridge Gorge, and the towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton.
Region A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
All aspects of the property were good. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished. It had everything provided.
We loved being near historical towns such as Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. Although the weather didn't behave, the local farms were very exciting for our boy.
The accommodation was excellent. Very homely and perfect for what we wanted. It was safe for the children to play out either in the back or the front area as well as a lovely area to sit and relax. It also had the large open grass areas near for letting the dogs go running. It was just perfect.
It was quiet a central location to the areas we wanted to visit.
I loved the whole look of the property from the outside to the in. It was very well done and I especially liked the courtyard design for parking etc.. The Bull Box was also in a brilliant location to everywhere we needed to go.
Location was excellent with easy access to all the ten Ironbridge Museums. Easy access to Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Telford. We particularly liked RAF Cosford. Very relaxing holiday.
Newly refurbished accommodation was nice to have, we were only the 2nd people in. The bedroom upstairs was a good size and the kitchen was a good size, well equipped. Overall good quality and very pleasant cottage to stay in.
