The Bull Pen Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
Hidden in the depths of the beautiful Suffolk countryside, just outside the village of Stoke Ash, is this detached, converted farm building which offers a cosy rural retreat on a working arable and livestock farm. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a garden with furniture. Set on a working farm, The Bullpen is a lovely cottage in a beautiful part of England.

With a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, the small town of Eye is a well-served town located in the heart of East Anglia. With examples of Georgian and Edwardian buildings as well as an award winning museum and the public park, Eye is a thriving community offering plenty to do. There is a market every Friday and coincides with a local antiques and collectables auction. The town of Stowmarket is close by and provides an 18-hole golf course along with Suffolk's only open-air museum and a variety of shops and pubs. The Suffolk Coast, Thetford Forest with its Go Ape high wire experience and the Steam Museum at Bressingham are all within easy driving distance.

Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

In a quiet rural situation. The accommodation was comfortable and warm and it was useful to have a secure garden area to contain our young dog.

The site had easy access to local country lanes for real peace and quiet, yet was close enough to the A140 so as to be a base for sites further afield as desired. The owners were most welcoming and genuinely nice people. Suffolk is charming in many ways, and seldom looks run down.

The Bull Pen was an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful county of Suffolk. Not too far from the coast and Minsmere RSPB reserve. Lots of pretty towns and villages with independent retailers, which is refreshing. The history of the area and fabulous thatched cottages, interesting mix of architecture and the whole ambience of the area was truly wonderful. I would highly recommend Suffolk as a holiday destination as there is so much to see and do.

Probably the best cottage we have stayed in. Excellent farm location, with pleasant walks through countryside to pub and handy for nearby villages and market towns. The owners were helpful and friendly, without becoming intrusive.

We recently spent some days at The Bull Pen. What a lovely little cottage! Lots of gentle walking from the farm; friendly and helpful owners; beautiful surroundings. We were so sad that we had to leave: we were so comfortable and relaxed.

This is a thoughfully designed and excellently equipped property, ideally situated for most of Suffolk, South Norfolk and the east coast. The owners are extremely helpful. The quiet location provides walks from the farm into the adjoining countryside and local villages; alternatively, the main road is few minutes away with easy access to nearby towns. We hope to return next year.
