Holiday home The Calf Pen is a delightful barn conversion in a courtyard setting, next to the owners' guest house, one mile from the village of Nercwys, near Mold. This single-storey cottage sleeps two people and has a king-size double bedroom, a shower room, a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside there's off road parking for one car, an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and access to shared gardens with an fenced pond. The Calf Pen is a charming base for couples on a romantic retreat.
Area The village of Nercwys has a pretty green, a church and a pub. Nercwys Forest is excellent for walks, cycling and horse riding, and nearby is Jacobean Nercwys Hall. The market town of Mold is close by with picturesque buildings and a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, and the city of Chester is within driving distance.
Region Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Fabulous setting, a glorious place to hide away. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The hosts were fantastic, very helpful and could not do enough for you. Would certainly stay here again and would happily recommend to anyone. The location was great for getting out to see the sights.
