The Coach House is run by Liz and David and they couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and informative about the farm itself, the area and places we could go and visit. The location is wonderful - very rural, with rolling views as far as the eye can see. The farm boasts geese, horses, cats, westies and a peacock who has a tendency to visit for breakfast. The cottage is extremely welcoming - it just invites you to cosy up in front of the wood burner and relax. If you want to get out and about, (and we did), you're less than 2 hours drive from Waterford (crystal extravanganza), an hour from cosmopolitan Dublin, and within spitting distance of various little villages, towns and interesting things to visit (recommend the mill at Avoca to watch hand weaving in action).
Both large double bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, the rocking chair on the landing is a nice homely touch. The downstairs space is wonderful, providing everything you could want (dishwasher, washing machine, fully fitted kitchen, table to seat 8, couches, throws, candles - you get the picture) and also has outside space available - a table and benches where you can sit and eat al fresco, but also a wonderful iron swing - the perfect place to sit with a drink and admire the views.
