This was a modern cottage in the village I grew up in. It was in an ideal location, and the surrounding views are fantastic. I would recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to have a centre point in the middle of the highlands.

This is a very cosy cottage, small but ideal for our holiday. It is very clean and well cared for. This is the second time we have stayed here and would happily return.

Good central location close to all amenities. A comfortable and well appointed property well suited to our needs. Our group of three are all bikers and this area was a first look at the highlands and the incredible mountain countryside. The west coast is in easy reach and the rides in the area were on good well maintained roads. Skye was spectacular as was Glenn Coe. The local people were all helpful and friendly. There were plenty of stopping places with good food and coffee.

An excellent property in a very good location, with parking outside the front door. Good shopping facilities nearby and also lots of places to visit within easy reach. One of the best properties I have stayed in whilst having this type of holiday over the last 13 years.

We liked the cosiness of our property. It is very clean, light and well equipped. Kitchen, bathrooms and beds are wonderful. We found a lot of helpful documents, leaflets and maps to plan our outdoor activities. The parking area directly in front of our front door is very convenient.

Central position for touring. Loved the cottage to go back and relax in after a busy day. Near to a local pub. First time to Scotland and we were amazed by the scenery and the friendliness of the locals.

An excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area. Newtonmore itself had a good range of eateries and the Co-op was well supplied for self catering. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. With the snow on the tops the views were even more spectacular than usual. Good walks and good fun spotting the cats!

We had a wonderful week in The Coach House. It was clean and had everything we needed as well as being comfortable and we felt very at home. We would definitely stay there again. We liked the kitchen being open to the living room so we could chat while we cooked our meals.

Warm and comfortable with everything you need for a week away. There is a large hall & cupboard with a lino floor, ideal for drying wet gear. The main bedroom is a good size with lots of storage space and an en-suite. There is also a second bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with all the sort of items that are often not provided, but always needed such as washing up liquid, cloths, sponges, kitchen roll, towels, tea towels, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, salt, pepper etc.. This made our stay really feel like a home from home. The bed and lounge were warm and comfortable. Although the building is just off the main road it is exceptionally quiet and has great views all around. It is close enough to walk into Newtonmore for all the necessary facilities, including a well stocked Co-op.

The owner was very caring and had left a lot of extra items in the house which were very useful. There was also a lot of information about the area. The house was obviously well cared for and we felt very comfortable there - very comfy clean beds, spotless bathrooms and fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. It was well placed for walking and visiting other areas. We have stayed in lots of self catering accommodation and this was definitely the best.

Excellent property - spotlessly clean and inviting. Bedding and linen all provided. Lots of extras - sunflowers on table to welcome you and information for travel in the area. As we were 3 adults it was good to have an en-suite as well as the main bathroom. Would certainly recommend to friends. Would use Sykes website again as it was no problem to book and the staff were so helpful!

We stayed here for one week and really enjoyed the relaxing time, it was well situated for walking into Newtonmore, for Church, shops etc.and for getting over to aviemore for walking around Loch Morlich, and into the Cairngorms We all liked the cleanliness and obviously well cared for accommodation, only hiccup was the TV which didnt have a dvd,and had high pitched noise which was quite frustrating. We would be happy to return again though

The property is excellent for a highlands holiday experience. The directions & key allocation were very good. the property was well equipt, clean & comforable. Newtonmore is a lovely village with a nice pub in easy walking distance with good food. The sorrounding area is very pictruesque with a geat museume just on the other side of the village. Locheness is about 40 miles away with loads to see & do. The small town of Fort agusta is well worth a visit the canal & loches are lovely.
