Having spent a fair amount of time in Rhosneigr when a student at Bangor, I wanted to share the area with my boyfriend as well as get a bit of down time, and the Gallery Apartment was the perfect place for that.
The Gallery Apartment is centrally located and a minute walk at most from at least two restaurants, a proper fish and chip shop, corner shops and the beach, which yes, we visited, even in November.
The apartment itself is a cosy, well-furnished home from home and despite being open plan is surprisingly warm in the winter, proved by the small hitch of the heating going off in the early hours of our last morning and us just not noticing until then owner Glen came and told us it was all sorted and back on.
Can't fault the key pickup or introduction that we got to the apartment, and the owners (in this case Glen as we didn't have the chance to meet Jane) are friendly, warm and welcoming. Added bonus that we nearly missed, they also own the clothing and wet-suit hire shop called Gecko, across the road, at which guests at the Gallery Apartment get a 10% discount.
Be warned though, if you visit off-peak as we did, many local places to eat and drink open intermittently on days that aren't Friday or Saturday, but don't let it put you off visiting this gorgeous corner of Anglesey as it didn't detract from our visit at all, and it shouldn't detract from yours. Also, having visited during the peak season in the past, parking is much more difficult as it is a popular place with holidaymakers, day trippers and water sports enthusiasts alike.
Can't recommend this property enough and looking forward to going back if we can ever find a time when it's not fully booked!
