This beautiful and historic town is settled high above the River Swale and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, and the chance to browse the weekly market and monthly farmers’ market with local produce and crafts. Plenty of walking and cycling opportunities can be enjoyed. There are many attractions nearby including Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, the popular city of York, and Hamsterley Forest with its mountain biking trails.
