Our first booking through Sykes, having used other companies previously: we will be back! Cottage owner was very welcoming, photographs do not do cottage justice, there is more room than the photographs suggest.
Mrs Christine

June 2015
The Granary is so big, clean and comfortable, and the owners were very friendly. The gardens were great, in the morning you can have coffee in the back, in the sun, and in the evening you can have a glass of wine in the front, in the sun. Whatever your taste or age you could find a book to read. Our dog also really had great time as it was very dog friendly.
Mr Pickering

It was dog friendly, with an enclosed rear garden and superb walks literally on the doorstep. We would highly recommend The Granary!

The Granary was a lovely welcoming home away from home. Each night we'd return and settled in to it's familiar warmth and cosiness. Our hosts were delightful and especially helpful when it came to recommending nearby places visit and places to eat.

October 2013
We echo what a lot of others have said in the past, in that the pictures in the brochure do not do it justice. Also the hosts were exceptional and very very friendly. It was ideal for us as we were visiting friends who had moved to North Wales. It is a great place to stay to base yourselves for some fantastic places to visit in North Wales and the English border (such as Chester). This is one place that we would come back to.
Mrs Beasley
October 2013

This property is decorated to a high standard, but remains very cosy, comfortable and welcoming. It is in a fantastic, secluded location, with only the owners' farmhouse nearby and has surprising views to Moel Famau. I would definitely go back and would recommend to others. The area around it is beautiful and is the perfect location for exploring the North Wales coast, Snowdonia and the Marches.
Mrs May

The charm and location of the property was perfect with peace and solitude if wanted but not too far from a good country town for your supplies. It is quite close to many tourist attractions, such as Snowdonia National Park which is within 1 hours drive and Rhyl and Prestatyn just a few minutes away. The barn was absolutely beautiful. The surrounding area was peaceful and had wonderful scenery; an absolute dream for a much needed break. The owners were a lovely couple and we'll hopefully see them again soon.
January 2014
We traveled to Wales with my husband during one of his business trips and we spent a week at this pretty little cottage surrounded by rolling hills and sheep :-) The host is lovely, warm and extremely helpful! She made sure we had some Welsh treats in the cottage too. The Cottage itself is very comfortable and homely and has all you need for a long or short stay. The internet was up and down during our stay but I am sure the host will take care of this at some stage. The cottage is not within walking distance to shops so a car is must! We would definitely stay here again! We loved our stay!
Mr Foster

September 2013
My husband and I, and our two young daughters, enjoyed a lovely stay at the Granary. My parents live in the vicinity, so it was a perfect base for us to visit them and other family members. The cottage was spacious yet cosy and felt very welcoming. Also, while close to the owner's home, it felt separate. The owners were friendly and discreet. The kitchen was very well equipped, there was plenty of hot water and the shower was nice and powerful. Important! The only downside for us was the lack of wi-fi or internet connection - if this could be arranged, this rental cottage would be our ideal Welsh bolt hole!
September 2010
The Granary is larger than it appears in the brochure and is very nicely furnished. It was very clean and comfortable, with an excellently equipped kitchen. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and left a welcome pack including some delicious welsh cakes !
December 2009
A warm welcome from the owners. The cottage was immaculate, the beds extremely comfortable. A good location for Chester but the trek up Snowdon was the best. Definately avoid Rhyll !!!
