Walk from the house on to the coastal path, local beaches and coves. Woolacombe beach, 1 mile, spans 2 miles; this impressive Blue Flag beach is ideal for surfing or walking through the sand dunes. Exmoor is a short drive with spectacular views. There are NT properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington. Barnstaple, 12 miles, has theatre, cinema and leisure activities. Places of interest include the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk. Braunton is the gateway to North Devon’s surfing area.
