The Hayloft description

Holiday home
The Hayloft is a stone-built barn conversion on the owners' former farmstead, in the hamlet of Ellingstring, five miles from Masham. This cottage sleeps four people in two ground floor zip/link super king-size double bedrooms. The cottage also has a ground floor bathroom, a first floor kitchen with dining area and a first floor sitting room. Outside there's off road parking for two cars, a shared courtyard with furniture and access to three acres of farmland. The Hayloft is an ideal base for families.

The historic market town of Masham is situated in Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. The town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market. The town boasts galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known as the home of two breweries Theakstons of Old Peculier fame and the Black Sheep Brewery.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Oil central heating. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Shared, front courtyard with furniture, plus access to three acres of farmland. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 4 miles, pub 3 miles.

To be fair we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the holiday. The cottage itself was excellent, everything had been thought of and catered for. The hosts were very friendly, informative, and nothing was too much trouble. The location and scenery were breathtaking. We would certainly look at returning to stay in one of their cottages.

The cottage location was excellent and the cottage furnishings were luxurious. The beds were massive. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had a great weekend, inviting us into their home. The area is also full of sites and places to visit, after all it is the Yorkshire Dales!

In a beautiful location and the owners were happy to accommodate any request. They are constantly updating and looking for new ways to make the place even better and it really is a wonderful place to stay.

The cottage was lovely, and we had a very warm welcome. The setting was lovely, wild and rugged but not too far from civilisation! The beds and linen were lovely, and it had nice sofas and a big decent TV.

We loved the cottage, beautiful views, so glad it was an upside down design so you can watch the sky over the moors from the lounge. We will definitely visit again.
