The Loft description

Tucked away in the North Devon countryside, The Loft is a great place to hide away, relax and recharge. The Loft is the top part of a lovely wooden building set in the beautiful grounds of the owners’ detached country home. With expansive views around the countryside, this is a real rural retreat. Inside this apartment you will find a well-furnished, cosy interior offering a good level of comfort. There is a large garden area with The Loft, which is lawned and has a patio area so you can enjoy the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. The Loft is situated on the edge of Stoke Rivers, and there are numerous walks from the village into the surrounding countryside.

Despite its rural location, The Loft is very well positioned for you to visit the great beaches and there are some bracing walks to be found along the South West Coast Path. There is surfing at Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton. The coastal ports of Lynmouth, Clovelly and Ilfracombe all have their own individual charm. There is also some great walking and scenery in the Exmoor National Park. There are several National Trust sites in the area including Arlington Court, Castle Drogo and Knightshayes. For keen gardeners, the gardens at the Royal Horticultural Society – Rosemoor, near Great Torrington, are a delight. There are some great countryside pubs not too far from The Loft and the regional town of Barnstaple has a good selection of shops and other amenities including the Pannier Market and Butchers Row. Cycling on the Tarka Trail, golf, fishing and tennis can all be found locally. Shop 5 miles, pub serving food 4 miles.
