The Old Manse was lovely. Very quirky and tastefully decorated.

The property was quirky and well equipped. It was good to have two lounges so the older family could go and watch a different program in other room. It was close to town and the pubs.

The Old Manse was in a great location, was a great cottage, the hot tub was fabulous after a long day of walking. Two great places to eat and drink The Three Tuns pub and The Castle hotel

A great property, we really appreciated the media available on the wet days, and the fire and hot tub in the evenings. The location was perfect for a bit of exploring and both old and young had a great break at The Old Manse.

We were very comfortable in The Old Manse and loved the hot tub. Had a BBQ and open fires as well as great pubs and an Indian restaurant on the doorstep, plus amazing countryside to walk and ride through.

We loved the location and the comfort that the house had to offer. There was plenty of room, it was clean and had everything we wanted in a holiday home. Ideally situated for popping into the town on foot and a great base for seeing the beautiful surrounding countryside. Would definitely recommend.

The Old Manse was very eclectic with every room having a slightly different theme. We really enjoyed the fact that there are two lounges, it meant that one group could watch a film whilst the others watched the TV.

We had a fantastic week staying at The Old Manse. The property is amazing, every room is full of character. It's a large house so our family of 5 had plenty of room and it is extremely well equipped. It's in a great position in Bishop's Castle and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. This is one holiday where at the end if it nobody wanted to leave the house to come home!

It was ideal to celebrate a special family birthday, for small grandchildren too, it was a large safe environment. The house met all our needs, would definitely go back as didn't get a chance to enjoy the wonderful surrounding countryside. High street and conveniences were only short walk away. Thumbs up from us.

It was equipped with all that we needed, was very spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The owners of the cottage were very sweet and added nice touches to make us feel welcome. The surrounding areas were beautiful and certainly a place I would like to re visit.

Inside the property was amazing, we didn't want to leave. Everybody was so friendly and the shops pubs/restaurants were all within walking distance. We all loved the hot tub, especially the children. We spent most of our time in the kitchen the hot tub! We can't wait to go back again!

An excellent character cottage with old charm, two cosy living rooms with interesting art work. Hot tub on the decking is fairly private and there were 3 good sized bedrooms plus a smaller single. Nice kitchen with dinning table. The owners were very helpful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week, perfect weather was a bonus.

The house was amazing and even though we were only there for a short time we made the most of everything that was provided. This house is in a great location for meandering around. Would definitely recommend this property. Very much a home from home.

The Old Manse interior decoration was superb, and we have copied some of the design ideas for our home. It was warm and cosy, and only a stones throw away from the nearest Pub.

Rented this cottage for a week to celebrate a family birthday and comfortably accommodates three couples, two young children and two dogs. The decor is very ecclectic, with dozens of themes varying from room to room and often from wall to wall, making this a very original and interesting property to stay and explore. Very well appointed in all areas, with hundreds of books, good selection of games, media and kitchen/dining ware. The hot tub on the balcony is excellent, large enough for four, properly hot and bubbly, with views out across the town and hills. The beds are luxurious and soft, all rooms are very spacious, clean and well furnished and everything was in good working order, including the wifi. Liked the fact that there were two large living rooms and a large open plan kitchen and dining room where 8 people can eat together comforatbly. Also a utility room with pool table, upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room Parking for one vehicle off road and additional on-street parking immediately outside. No garden, but fields just behind the property were suitable to exercise the dogs. The only area for owners to improve would be the media on the hard drives in the lounges, which are in the process of being converted, but we found many were not yet playable. Location was great for us, with some terrific and dog-friendly pubs, serving locally brewed ales just a minute from the door. As well as the usual convenience stores, pubs, etc, The village also has a nice church and quite a few interesting independant craft/boutique stores and plenty of interesting wallks for the dogs in close proximity Would definitely recommend this property, ideal for a 4-7 adults + dogs and/or kids, for a week exploring the country and the local pubs!

Bishops Castle is a quirky and very welcoming town. 'The Old Manse' is the perfect base from which to explore and experience a different way of life , it is much more laid back than the average lifestyle. Look out for the Chai cafe and wonderful deli next door . Plenty of interesting vintage style shops in which to browse and pick up a few bargains for home. If you are lucky enough to be there a carnival time, the wheel barrow race and treasure trail can be recommended . We borrowed a barrow , took part and came 4th !!
