Rented this cottage for a week to celebrate a family birthday and comfortably accommodates three couples, two young children and two dogs.
The decor is very ecclectic, with dozens of themes varying from room to room and often from wall to wall, making this a very original and interesting property to stay and explore. Very well appointed in all areas, with hundreds of books, good selection of games, media and kitchen/dining ware.
The hot tub on the balcony is excellent, large enough for four, properly hot and bubbly, with views out across the town and hills. The beds are luxurious and soft, all rooms are very spacious, clean and well furnished and everything was in good working order, including the wifi. Liked the fact that there were two large living rooms and a large open plan kitchen and dining room where 8 people can eat together comforatbly. Also a utility room with pool table, upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room
Parking for one vehicle off road and additional on-street parking immediately outside. No garden, but fields just behind the property were suitable to exercise the dogs. The only area for owners to improve would be the media on the hard drives in the lounges, which are in the process of being converted, but we found many were not yet playable.
Location was great for us, with some terrific and dog-friendly pubs, serving locally brewed ales just a minute from the door. As well as the usual convenience stores, pubs, etc, The village also has a nice church and quite a few interesting independant craft/boutique stores and plenty of interesting wallks for the dogs in close proximity
Would definitely recommend this property, ideal for a 4-7 adults + dogs and/or kids, for a week exploring the country and the local pubs!
