In a convenient location for visiting Durham City and surrounding area. Comfortable and cosy accommodation, with local pubs within 1 mile, all excellent and value for money. Would recommend.

This is a lovely little cottage in an excellent setting which is private but close to everything. The Red Lion nearby is good for food. The cottage is very comfortable. We will be back

Lovely place, very peaceful and great for kids with a large garden to run round in. Local pub, The Church Mouse, is good for families and within walking distance.

A lovely property, ideal for 2 people. Good, private location in a picturesque setting, with friendly owners. A beautiful area for visiting interesting historical sites and good for walking.

Lovely looking cottage in a beautiful setting ideal for touring County Durham. Nicely decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. On the down side, the mattress was old, hard and lumpy and a high round window facing the bed let in light at dawn. Also, the fridge/freezer is in the living room, diagonally opposite the kitchen - not ideal. Kitchen cupboards abnormally high - ok if you're tall. Bedding not ironed, oven not particularly clean. On balance wouldn't go again. Definitely not 4*.
