The Olde Sunday School Coastal Cottage description

Holiday home
Four and a half miles from Newquay in the rural hamlet of Rejerrah, lies this stunning and unique property; a converted stone-built chapel. With lovely arched windows on the first floor, this property retains a lot of character from its former life as a church. Outside there is an enclosed garden - ideal for relaxing in the evening with a cool drink or as a secluded sun-bathing spot. The property is well served by amenities in Newquay, whilst closer to home Rejerrah provides a country pub and the neighbouring village of Cubert supplies a small shop.

Area
Set in idyllic Cornish countryside, the sleepy hamlet of Rejerrah offers visitors a cosy country pub and a village shop in nearby Cubert. The bustling seaside resort of Newquay is just four and a half miles away and boasts such popular attractions as great beaches and a zoo and sea life centre as well as a large number of clubs, pubs and restaurants. Just a 10 minute drive away is the superb Cornish coastline, which is renowned world-wide for its surfing beaches such as the magnificent cove at Perranporth. Overlooked by a popular golf course, this beach presents easy access to the coastal path which tours the nearby cliffs and sands. The Lappa Valley Railway, the Dairyland theme park, countless gardens and several other top quality attractions are all within the immediate vicinity.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

A quiet location and the house is very comfortable. It is close to beaches, towns and National Trust properties. We have been here before and still found new things to discover.

A great place of peace so allowing the following day to be planned. Instructions of the various fitted items was of great help. The DVD player was of great use, together with the video player for the other TV.

The house was endearing. In the guest book there are lots of visitors on their third or forth visit. The house has a great atmosphere. It would be nice to live there on a permanent basis - just great!

The cottage was very clean and well maintained. It was ideally located for all areas of Cornwall and the owner sent excellent instructions as to location, parking and so on before our stay. Lots of lovely pub restaurants are within easy reach and there are great walks near the cottage too. If we go back to Cornwall we will certainly go back to this cottage.

The property was excellent, my family really enjoyed staying there. We were only a 10 minute walk from Newquay and the position of the property was relevant to area's of interest to us which was excellent. We would definitely visit again and recommend friends and family to also stay there.

The Olde Sunday School is a charming cottage ideally placed for visiting most of Cornwall. It is a comfortable cottage able to accommodate families with children easily. The owner contacted us with key arrangements before our stay and also posted back a handset that we had left behind so all in all provided us with excellent customer service. The only point to be aware of is that there is no mobile phone coverage at the cottage or for quite a distance around it, although this is not a problem if you want a quiet getaway!

We stayed a week during the half term. My husband, myself, adult daughter, her 6 year old son and our younger son and daughter, 17 and 15 respectively. There was plenty of room for us all and my husband and I were particularly pleased with the feeling of escaping from it all with sparce phone signal. It is a tastefull conversion and has lots of character. We made good use of the woodburning stove, though it would have been useful to have some fire utensils to tend the fire, and maybe a basket to put wood in. Other than that we had everything we could have needed. It was good to see a pizza cutter provided as so many places usually overlook this utensil. We had a lovely holiday as the cottage was well based for days out and the many Newquay beaches.
