The Reading Rooms was an excellent holiday house with plenty of space for all members of our party; we all had a very comfortable weeks stay. We especially loved the open plan kitchen and sitting room.

A fabulous cottage which is much bigger than it looks on the photographs. The garden is fantastic for dogs, all enclosed and really big. The summer house is lovely to sit in as the sun goes down.

We had a wonderful holiday. The Reading Rooms was in a fabulous position to tour around the Northumberland region, which is beautiful. It was lovely returning to the cottage as it is such a tranquil place to stay and so comfortable.

Brilliant place to stay. So easy to find even though we got there in the dark, very near to A1 but there was hardly any noise to speak of. The cottage had everything we needed and the information booklets were very helpful. Plenty of places to visit and should have had more weeks to enjoy it all. Will definitely be returning and would recommend highly to others.

A well-equipped, warm comfortable house. The main bedroom and wet room were great for my dad who has limited mobility.

The cottage has everything, it's comfortable and in a lovely area. The traffic on the A1 you can hear but it didn't worry us, they were even doing road mending during the night and it didn't t keep us awake. We want to go back next year, there are so many more beaches and castles to see. All together a really great place.

A lovely property with easy access to the A1. It had everything we needed and represented great value for money. We had excellent weather too which made life much easier with our dog! Overall, Northumberland is a beautiful and unspoilt area.

Lovely barn conversion. Loved the big lounge/ kitchen. Large bedroom was amazing. We are aiming to come back next year as it is a good meeting point for family coming down from Scotland. Alnwick castle was an absolute delight.

We arrived late on Friday night and were greeted with a note informing us that there was some ice cream and a chocolate pudding waiting for us! Perfect. The cottage was immaculately clean and larger than it appears in the photos. All bedrooms had a bathroom either attached or nearby. One bathroom was suitable for disabled guests. Our children loved sleeping in the attic room. The only slight negative was that the cottage was chilly when we arrived but it warmed through once the heating was on for a while. We were particularly impressed with the free Wi-Fi. Fresh eggs were available at a local farm - if we so wished to purchase them. We visited Alnwick and Seahouses (close by) today and plan to go to Bamburgh Castle and beach tomorrow. A beautiful part of the world and we would visit and stay here again. Thank you.
