We liked the peaceful location, the countryside and being able to listen to the birds singing. The location was easy to find as was the location of the door key. In all a very nice relaxing holiday, as after a trip out we were able to relax and read a book on returning to the wonderful garden. Our Springer Spaniel enjoyed her early morning walks around the block and what a pleasure to be able to walk around the village without the constant noise of traffic. We have bookmarked the Stables for a possible return in the future.

The Stables is in a quiet, well-maintained, clean and tidy little village. It is well placed between miles of glorious coastline, twelve miles to the east, and on the edge of the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds. Small towns along the coastline and quaint, beautiful, historic, picturesque villages and towns to the west. The owners are very welcoming and approachable.

Immaculately presented cottage. The owners were very welcoming and went the extra mile. There was nothing about the stables I could criticise. The outside was very pretty and relaxing with a lovely seating area. One of the nicest cottages I have stayed in and would recommend to anyone.

We loved this cottage. It was very quiet, we only heard the birds singing. Everything was just lovely. It was spotlessly clean, and there was enough cutlery and crockery provided. The bed was massive (my partner is 6' 1 and couldn't reach the bottom). There were muffins and tea to welcome us and we felt it was like home from home. The owners were very welcoming too. We would certainly consider going there again.
Mrs Francis-Ewen

An easily accessible driveway to the cottage with plenty of space to park. The cottage was comfortable and extremely well furnished and was very light and airy. The information file with brochures of places of interest in and around the area was very helpful, many of which we managed to visit. This was our first holiday in Lincolnshire and we would certainly like to return to the county again.

Overall everything was just right.

September 2013
The care with which the owners had gone to to make such a quality holiday, virtually every aspect of the cottage could not be faulted. I would go as far as saying the place was 'undersold' on the website promotion pages. Everything was clean, fresh new, and obviously the owners had spent a lot of time money and effort in bringing this property up to scratch.
Mr Chalmers

The cottage can only be described as first class. It was located in a quiet and picturesque village surrounded by countryside, very suitable for walking. Good eating places relatively nearby.

This cottage was a little gem. We couldn't fault it, and would certainly recommend it. We got a warm welcome from the owners, who were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Lincolnshire and visited some interesting places: Gainsborough Hall, Lincoln Cathedral and Castle, Alford Manor and windmill, Tattershall Castle, Gunby Hall, Cleethorpes and Gibraltar Point.

July 2013
Cottage was perfect for our needs. Everthing we needed was available. The setting was ideal in a very pleasant garden. Easy access to the Wolds. Local towns such as Louth was most interesting, especially on market day. The owners were most helpful.
August 2014
The seclusion of the cottage made it an ideal location for a peaceful holiday. Everything that we required was there and the high standard of the decor: furniture: and design layout was wonderful. I have searched for other cottages, in different locations, with no success. We have been spoiled by 'The Stables' and no other accommodation comes up to the high bench mark they have set.
