Trewen is a lovely cottage, very clean and spacious, would easily sleep six people. It was very helpful that there was a proper wooden cot, high chair and stair gate included. Gave us more room in the car! I'd imagine it would be lovely in the summer sitting outside and having a BBQ, as it's very quiet and there's lovely views.
Mr Millar

We loved the location, and the peace and quiet of the surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the nearby locations, including the majestic church buildings at nearby St Davids. And the double bed was the most comfortable bed that we have ever slept in on holiday!

June 2010
The location was great with easy access to all the key areas within the Pembrokeshire area. The overall location of the cottage was peaceful and provided a haven for our children to play and lean about the country side we lived in. The accommodation was excellent and the welcome was spot on. The bays around St Davids are easy to access and offer you a great choice of activities or you could just relax and watch the day go by.
Mr Stanley
May 2009
We loved the size and space that the property allowed and the far sweeping views across the hills and valleys from several of the property's windows. Its rural and out of the way location. I loved the walks through the network of footpaths and country lanes that criss crossed all over the surrounding area - amazing surroundings including brooks, woods, pasture-land and carpets of bluebells as far as the eye could see and right on your doorstep. The property was ideal for a a car ride to Newgale Sands beach - 15 mins away - with its wonderful sweep of pristine beach.
Mrs Humphries

September 2008
A good family house, there were lovely views from the house and the owners were very good.
September 2013
I stayed here with my husband and three small children. The cottage was clean and tidy, the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were very clean. The pool table in the conservatory was a big hit with my 5 year old son and his daddy. The location was fantastic for visiting the local area, with white sands being our personal favourite. My daughter was amazed with the cows in the neighbouring farm and the lady who ran the farm was lovely and showed the children around her dairy farm which was an added bonus, the children loved it. The only thing that we felt was missing was a seating area outside, there was a large stoned patio, but the bushes were overgrown, so no view when seated (the view was amazing)and there was no appropriate seating for eating outside apart for an old wooden bench. But this apart we would definately visit this property again.

September 2007

Mr Michaels
September 2007
Peace and quiet, unspoilt beaches and countryside, friendly owners...
October 2016
We have just stayed at Trewen for a week, a spacious house with plenty of parking and access to a large lawned garden. Although we went as a couple, it would be ideal for a family holiday and is located at the northern end of St Brides Bay just inland from Newgale. The house is well equipped and even has a games room/conservatory with pool table and table tennis table. All in all, good value for money.
December 2009
We really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful location, where we could relax but was handy for the pub and coastal walks. The house was very clean and had everything you needed for a great holiday. Would certainly return, hopefully soon.
November 2010
The house was good in every way except for the way that noise traveled upstairs, this casued it to be less private fore ach individual than we would have hoped
March 2013
We chose this property based upon the reviews and pictures on this website and the Sykes Cottages website. We wanted easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path using a property that had a comfortable feel about it and importantly, a log burner. There's plenty of room outside of the property for cars, the patio area and garden are huge. The views over the hills and towards the sea can be seen from most of the rooms in the property too, this provides a real 'out in the countryside' feeling. The inside we found to be in keeping with a farmhouse, beamed ceilings, darker decor, large well equipped kitchen with dining table comfortably catering for 6 people. Large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine all there too. The bedrooms are airy and light with ample room for clothing. The bathroom was better suited to bathing rather than showers, there is an electric shower fitting with a surrounding bath curtain but we couldn't get on with this. Instead, we used the mixer shower attachment which was more than adequate. The central heating worked really well and with a combo-boiler there was unlimited hot water. If you're staying the winter and planning to use the log burner I'd recommend taking or arranging to have some wood. The nearby garage does sell this but I found it not to be properly seasoned. Venturing out to the coast finds Newgale to be the nearest village, it took no more than 10 minutes by car to get there. During our stay we parked at coastal villages, walked the cliff tops then made use of the local buses to return to us to our car. Timetables and information we found to be in a free Coastal newspaper available in a few shops, major supermarkets and conveniently left for us in the kitchen. The property location is great for peace and quiet yet within easy access of nearby towns and villages by car. I'd recommend grabbing your supplies / provisions from Haverfordwest, there's a large supermarket there, as there's very little to supply yourself with from nearby Roch. Marvellous property and great location in our opinion.
December 2009
The owner was very courteous, greeting us on arrival and then allowing us to get on with our holiday with no interference. Excellent. The cottage was very nice, plenty of space and very clean. Fantastic views and a real rural setting. Cows passing in an adjacent field. Overalll a good base for exploring the region both north and south. A few days of rain but this is Wales! A few nice days, where we enjoyed a BBQ on the patio. Would we go back? Yes, most definitely.
