The house was comfortable and well restored. The area is beautiful and a range of tourist attractions were fairly easily accessible.

A fantastic holiday cottage with great walks straight from the door. The whole place is clean and cosy with wonderful views, a real escape. The owners were super helpful, they answered all our questions and were on hand to help us out with any issues. Would certainly recommend.

This was a beautiful cottage. It was immaculately clean on our arrival, and nicely decorated. We thought it was very cosy. The kids loved their bedroom. It was an excellent base to explore Snowdonia. I liked the attention detail and I definitely recommend it.

Ty Isel was a beautiful little home for the holidays to shelter from the elements for our family and we were snug and warm. It is a great spot leading straight to the track to the Carneddau mountains - as a hill runner this was perfect! Also easy access to other mountains as well, or low level walks with the family. We would like to return in warmer/ dryer weather to enjoy the terrace and garden more - we had sunshine on our last day! Thank you so much to the owners - we can't wait to be back!

It was perfect. Clean with modern comforts but also a cosy stone-and-fire feel. You could see the stars and hear the sheep 'baa.'

The cottage was full of character and was warm and comfortable. We particularly liked the decking area where you could enjoy the view of the hills and listen to the birds. It was a really relaxing break which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

The cottage was in a beautiful location, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The renovations have been done to a very high standard, and the furniture and furnishings were all of good quality. Our daughter loved her loft bedroom. It was lovely to have the fire going in the evenings. We really appreciated the attention to detail. The owner has obviously put a lot of thought and care into making the cottage the perfect holiday retreat.

Ty Isel was absolutely lovely, it was superbly decorated and finished but kept in a style that suited the type of building and it's age. The cottage was lovely and warm and the multi-fuel stove was the icing on the cake when we came in from a day's walking around Snowdonia. I highly recommend this cottage to couples with a dog or a small family.

A home from home which was very comfortable and well equipped. There was attention to detail with everything there that you could possibly need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Stunning views from the garden and the log burner was a treat. It was very quiet with no road noise. I loved this cottage, and will visit again. The cottage owner is really nice, and every effort is made to ensure everything is perfect for your stay.

Lovely cottage in a lovely spot. The log burner was wonderful and for the owner to have it lit ready for when we arrived was a lovely welcome. A very comfortable cottage!

A great little detached cottage with a monster sweeping view from the decking. The location, facilities and quirkiness delivered exactly what we needed and more.

Great cottage in a stunning location - remote and very scenic, yet close enough to the Bethesda's shops and pubs. We found the decoration very tasteful and the cottage was renovated to a very high standard. Our two-year-old loved the provided books and the sheep he could see from the patio.

On arrival the cottage had lights on to welcome us along with first night essentials including cake and dog treats. The cottage was very clean, warm and spacious with plenty of room for the dog beds. The shower was lovely and hot, great for when you've climbed a mountain! It is ideally located at the end of a country road with lots of dog walking from the house and amazing views but also within easy reach of Snowdonia, dog friendly beaches, zip world and many more places. The local town is within walking distance and has several different eating options and shops to buy food, drink etc...

Bethesda is one of the most unspoilt places in North Wales and this cottage beats all in location and facilities. The owners have very cleverly made a small cottage into a very spacious living area.

If you're looking for a completely restful break in a lovely, quiet Welsh cottage which has kept all its original features but which has been tastefully modernised to a very high standard, look no further. Ty Isel is that place. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there, had some lovely mountain hikes from right outside the cottage, slept so soundly in the very comfortable bed and left completely rested and restored. The owners are a delight and made our stay such a pleasant one. We thoroughly recommend this cottage.

This is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in. This was our second stay here for 2 weeks this time. Our two tiny terriers stay with us. As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed, the welcome tray is full of goodies & dog treats plus milk, there is also a basket of wood & things to make your first nights fire with. Situated up the end of a quiet dead end lane, there is no traffic! It is so peaceful. You are literally on the Carnedds, with so many walks from the door you don't have to use your car for as long as your stay is. Plenty of parking for two cars. There are fantastic walks up to Carnedd Llewelyn with stunning views across to the Glyderau & Tryfan, Snowdon peeks through the range. The cottage is decorated beautifully & has a high standard for cleanliness, it is warm & very comfortable, it had everything we needed for a two week stay. The wood burner is efficient and packs out the heat. The bath with a shower is a great place to unwind after a day's hiking plus the underfloor heating is great for those cold days. The balcony is fabulous, a sun trap with great views of the mountains, super sunsets and when we were up there; sitting out on the wooden bench at 4am with a hot toddy watching the moon eclipse. The garden to the back has been left semi wild which we prefer because it attracts so much wildlife & all sorts of birds, to the side there is a walled in lawn and a very useful washing line, The walk into town is down a steep hill with lots of different ways to go & takes us about 15 minutes to the Indian we use, our walk back up takes about 30-40 mins, but we aren't in a hurry and have hiked most of the day. When we are tired we just drive, lots of free parking in town. Bethesda has everything you need , pubs, food shops , takeaways, cafes. Zip world is only down the hill , it's an amazing experience & on the tour up the quarry ( and its high) you can see Ty Isel and the mountains behind the cottage. In the car, ten minutes up the road is another hiking area; lake Idwal, Glyderau, Tryfan, such a stunning area for easy or hard walks, or just sit and watch climbers climb these huge slabs of rock. The cottage is superb and set in a fantastic area, you cannot get better than this!

We just arrived home from a week long stay at Ty Isel. We found the cottage to be very comfortable for our family. The paint, furniture, kitchen, bath, floors etc are all new. The place is squeaky clean. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious, and so is the deck in the garden. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with a view of the mountains. We took several nice walks in the hills straight out of the cottage door. We also visited Cum Idwal, Llandberis, Bangor,Conwy Castle and several sites and beaches on Anglesey, all within easy driving distance of the cottage. I highly recommend this cottage!
