Ty Newydd Cae Hywel description

Holiday home
Ty Newydd Cae Hywel is a wonderful, charming holiday home near Llanberis and the Snowdia National Park. Situated one mile from Llanrug, this cosy, detached cottage is set mostly on the ground floor, with a double bedroom and two single bedrooms, one of which is on the first floor and accessed via the hallway up a steep, narrow staircase. There is a bathroom downstairs, along with a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with an open fire and a handy boot room. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars, lawned, terraced gardens and a patio with furniture where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views over the valley to Snowdon. A great base for exploring North Wales, Ty Newydd Cae Hywel is waiting for you to come and stay!

Situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, Llanrug is a small village with two pubs and a shop just three miles from the famous town of Llanberis. Popular amongst walkers, this tranquil settlement is set beneath the Snowdon Massif and flanked by the Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris lakes. As one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park, Llanberis is an ideal spot for walkers and climbers to gather, particularly during the annual Snowdon marathon. For the less energetic holidaymaker, trains travel to the summit at regular intervals giving those unable to climb to the peak a chance to enjoy the incredible views. Back in the town itself there are a number of excellent places to eat and drink as well as a great choice of shops.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

In a quiet location with direct views of the summit of Snowdon and very close to Llanberis, with a good pub serving good food close by. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure our stay was comfortable. A lovely cottage which was nice, warm and inviting. We will certainly be revisiting Llanberis and definitely be staying at this delightful cottage. Sitting in the garden looking up at Snowdon with a cuppa, listening to the little lambs bleeting just over the wall, how idyllic. Magical.

It was a lovely place to stay and we will be going back in the future.

It is a very quiet place but with a few farm houses around so it doesn't feel isolated. We saw Ravens and Buzzards above the cottage and Song Birds all around. The cottage was ideally placed for excursions into the National Park, and also to coastal towns such as Caernarvon.
