Upper Barn Stable description

Holiday home
This charming semi-detached stable conversion is situated between the Bure and Wensum valleys on the outskirts of the historic market town of Reepham in Norfolk. The property has been lovingly restored and offers high quality accommodation on the ground floor. With exposed beams, a warming, wood-burning stove and authentic stable doors, this building is steeped in character and charm. The property also has access to a pretty, private garden which is a great place to relax on a summer afternoon, or to enjoy a cool drink on a warm evening.

Area
Situated amidst stunning countryside between the valleys of Bure and Wensum, the attractive and historic market town of Reepham is one of the most beautiful in East Anglia. With an attractive, 18th Century market building and beautiful red-brick Georgian constructions, this classic trading post continues to host a weekly market whilst the wide selection of shops sell local produce and hand-made furniture. The town is also packed with various inns, restaurants and tea shops. The twenty mile footpath ‘The Marriott's Way' can be found by Reepham's former railway station, which now serves as a museum and tea shop. This peaceful route through fields and woodland offers walkers and cyclists the chance to see some of the area's beautiful scenery ‘off the beaten track'. Close by, the cathedral city of Norwich offers great shopping, historic town walls and excellent transport links to London.

Region
Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

We enjoyed the privacy that the barn had to offer. The barn is very clean and well kept and an ideal place for a romantic weekend away. We will be recommending the barn to friends and family.

All of what we wanted was in the house, we didn't need to get anything but groceries. A chilled weekend and the owners were very helpful and friendly, the cottage was lovely and the hot tub was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this property.

The stable barn is very welcoming and is finished to a very high standard. The kitchen is well-equipped which we used a lot. The bed is amazing with the softest quilt we have ever used. The log burner is lovely and adds to the character of the stables. We usually eat out when we are away but we found ourselves returning every day and watching DVD's in front of the burner. The village has a lovely pub which is reasonably priced.

From the moment we arrived the owners did everything to make our stay memorable. The Barn was clean and had everything we needed. There was nothing better than a night in the hot tub then a glass of wine with the feet up while the log burner roars in the background. I have recommended the Barn to friends and family and would recommend it to you!

A lovely cottage which was centrally situated for trips inland or to the coast. It was very quiet, nice to wake up and all you can hear is the birds singing. The owners were very nice and helpful, will definitely go again.

We stayed at Bimble Box on a weekend to Norfolk. Our main reason for staying at this B & B was due to the available Hot Tub. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess called Diane. Cup of tea and cakes ready at our arrival and heating on making us feel immediately at home. The room was so cosy, bed was immensely comfortable and shower was perfect. The hot tub booked in advanced in 1 hour slots was perfect despite the freezing dash back to the room. Diane made our stay very comfortable with fresh cakes on our table when we returned from our day, she gave us recommendations on local places to eat and visit and nothing was ever too much for her. With the amount of B&Bs my girlfriend and I visit, this has to become at the top of our favourites.

We stayed in the B&B room for three nights. A lovely comfortable room with plenty of space. A small fridge was also provided. Really clean and very private. Perfect location for travelling around the area and Diane was a mine of information of all things local and where to go. Her cooked breakfasts were brilliant! Hot tub a real bonus too. It was our first time in this area of the country and we'll definitely be back and staying here again.

Excellent place to stay. Centrally located in Norfolk and offers an escape from a hectic world. Cosy and well equipped, the log burner is an added luxury. Not the first time we have stayed here and it will not be the last.

Loved our time at Upper Barn Stable, very restful and excellent level of care and amenities from the thoughtful owners. The local town of Reepham is a delight and the town that we all remember from our childhood. Couldn't get over how friendly everyone was. The owners of the cottage were always on hand for any of our questions and had a multitude of ideas for visits and eating out. Can't recommend Upper Barn Stable highly enough.

We stayed in the B&B which had more than you expect from a B&B, with its own exclusive dinning room, a patio outside dinning and barbecue area as well. I managed to fit self catering a cold super into our one night getaway with ease. The room is luxury with lovely decor, superior cotton bedding and an excellent very clean new shower and toilet. The hot tub is private for your exclusive use if you book it and close to the B&B. Clean hot and easy to use. Breakfast is excellent with tea coffee and biscuits available throughout your stay at any time. The location is brilliant for Norwich or other attractions in North Norfolk. A 5 star experience with friendly generous and accommodating owners. We will return and totally recommend both the B&B and the self catering stable to others.

A perfect way to escape from everyday chaos. Very romantic and cosy environment, hot tub is definately the highlight! The stable is in great condition, very clean, comfortable and in a great location for nearby attractions. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts, but also very considerate towards privacy. We are already planning our next stay and would highly recommend staying at Upper Barn Stable!

A lovely little cottage, private & perfect for two, nice & clean & had everything we needed. It took about twenty minutes to walk in to the village, where we enjoyed a lovely meal in the local. We also cycled in to the next village on a lovely cycle path with pleasant views of the countryside. We didn't have to travel too far as we were central to lots of interesting places. We just loved the beach at Holkham were they did some of the filming for TV series Kingdom. Overall we would definately recommend it and would certainly visit again.
