Situated in a peaceful setting, on the shores of Wimblewall Lake, the property is great for a relaxing getaway. It has three bedrooms: A king-size double room, a single bedroom and a second single with a 3' 6'' four poster bed. Downstairs, there is a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with comfy seating and a cosy woodburning stove. Enjoy alfresco dining in the garden, which gently slopes down to the water's edge. There is also off road parking for one car and the chance to try sailing and windsurfing and the nearby lakeside club. A lovely secluded cottage a moments walk to the lovely lake with stunning views. The cottage was fitted to a very high standard and was large enough for a family of four and two dogs. There were lots of lovely walks for the dogs and a dog friendly beach in Dunster is only 20mins drive down the road. I cannot recommend this cottage more highly, it was a lovely quiet relaxing week spent in beautiful surroundings, 10 out of 10.

This was one of the best cottages we have stayed in,everything you needed was provided. It was clean and well decorated offering a mix of traditional decor with a modern fitted kitchen and bathroom. We particularly liked the wood burner which was very cozy after a long walk. If you enjoy walking and peace and quiet this is the place for you; Wimbleball Lake and numerous dog friendly walks are literally on the doorstep.

Everything about our holiday was excellent. The cottage is ideal in every way for either a walking holiday from your door and/or a base for touring. The cottage is of a real high standard and most welcoming after a long days walking. The hosts are extremely helpful and are there to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The scenery surrounding the cottage is wonderful and peaceful, making it a perfect getaway from a hectic world. I would strongly recommend this cottage to all my friends.

This place is a total Gem the cottage has everything you would need and More. Its both traditional and cosy and modern and practical. It was spotless too, better than a 5star hotel. Really enjoyed the Woodburner adding a sense of ambience felt the history of the place and it had good vibes. The location is so peaceful and tranquil and great for total relaxation and fresh air. Sarah and Alan are approachable helpful and friendly nothing is to much trouble. If you are thinking about staying here and like the outdoors plus peace and quiet stop thinking and book it asap. I have already given word of mouth reviews to everyone I know and anyone else who will listen. Sarah and Alan keep up the great work will see you again soon as will someone who knows me. Thanks Mike, Becks Eden & Archie

This is a lovely cottage which is part of a small working farm, The cottage is very well furnished with a modern kitchen and bathroom. It is comfortable and cosy with an efficient and lovely wood burning stove in the lounge. The owners were friendly and welcoming and more than happy to deal with any reasonable request. The cottage is dog friendly and well equipped with everything a family might need (If I am really picky, soap and sufficient toilet paper might be a nice upgrade). The lake is a few tens of metres from the cottage with stunning views and a made up path around it. In the middle of winter, the ground does get heavy so suitable footwear is recommended. This cottage is remote and well off the beaten track, so a car is essential. It is a good central location for exploring the north Somerset and Devon coast or Exmoor itself. There is a pub and a shop a couple of miles away - walkable by the very fit and able. Do not expect a phone signal, but broadband is adequate close to the the router in the living room. A really enjoyable few days.

We were warmly greeted by the owners on our arrival and once inside saw they had left wine and milk for us (thank you Sarah and Alan). the cottage is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bed is sumptuous and the bath is divine. the cottage is situated on Exmoor and is close to many attractions. A must is the South West Railway, a steam train ride through the country which is just brilliant. Thank you again for your hospitality, we will definitely return.

Before we left we had a lovely conversation with the owner Sarah and on arrival she greeted us warmly and explained all the key information that we needed. The cottage is beautifully designed and fitted and felt like a 5 star hotel. The bathroom is also luxurious and even better than the photographs. If I was famous then this is a retreat I would choose. The lake is only yards away and the location is so good that we only used the car twice. The night sky is amazing and we were lucky enough to see shooting stars as well as the lunar eclipse. The dogs are very friendly and there are plenty other animals to watch and listen to. We walked around the lake and over Haddon Hill and we must go back to enjoy kayaking on the lake. Dulverton and Bampton are worth a visit and we enjoyed the Copper Kettle after a long walk from Dulverton to Tarr Steps.

Cottage is nearly half of a traditional Exmoor/Brendon Hills farmhouse & is the ideal combo of character, charm together with modern conveniences. Great beast of a woodburner for those winter nights & very comfortable, cosy cottage all around. Location great for touring esp Exmoor on your doorstep & with convenient, easy direct access to Wimbleball Lake/Haddon Hill giving fine dog walking opportunities. Owners very friendly, hospitable & helpful - cater for your every need, whilst maintaining privacy. We have stayed in a few holiday cottages & it`s fair to say this is one of the best ever, v stylish yet traditional renovation. Would highly recommend to anyone......we will certainly be returning
