Valley Cottage description

Holiday home
Valley Cottage is a detached, ground floor cottage in the village of Jackfield, just one mile from Ironbridge. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom and one twin room, together with a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room and conservatory. Outside is off road parking for one car plus free roadside parking, and an enclosed garden with furniture and views of the river. Situated on the banks of the River Severn, Valley Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage from which to explore this lovely part of the country.

Area
The village of Jackfield is situated on the banks of the River Severn, which flows through the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge and is part of this famous World Heritage Site, home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built 1777-79. Jackfield stands on the Wrekin Way footpath, providing many scenic walks and cycle trails, and is home to the impressive Tile Museum and well -known Boat Inn. The centre of Ironbridge is 1 mile away, today one of the country's most delightful tourist attractions.

Region
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

The house was provided with everything you needed. There are several very good and welcoming pubs within easy walking distance. All three of us were very impressed with the house and its facilities.

The cottage was cosy and warm to come back to with everything you needed. It was so quiet with views of the gorge from the lovely conservatory. We would definitely like to stay again. The area is stunning.

We loved the peaceful location. We had everything we needed at the bungalow, they had gone the extra mile to provide for guests. We really felt at home there.

Valley Cottage was delightful and situated in a lovely location. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We are looking to return again sometime next year.
