The owners seem to have given a lot of thought to the set up of the accommodation.

The cottage was even better than we expected; homely, spacious and well equipped. The children loved the window seat in their room, and the beds were all very comfortable. Having wifi meant we could easily check weather/ directions to local attractions etc, and was a godsend. We absolutely loved the cottage - ideal for a family break (the play area a few yards away was a massive hit.. We all had a go on the zip wire!). Definitely want to come again; what a smashing base for a break.

There was everything we needed and quite a spacious lounge and kitchen diner. We were most comfortable. Would definitely go again if in the area.

The Cottage was lovely and comfortable, a real home from home. It had everything we needed for our week away from home. There was nothing we didn't like. I have already recommended it to my friends and family.

Considering the poor weather it was nice to come back to such an excellent base each day, which had everything we needed. It was close to shops and gave easy access to the local main attractions and places.

Cottage was in an excellent location for the North York Moors and the coast. The weather was good! The village pub was excellent. The cottage was clean, cosy and quiet. The cottage owner introduced himself and was very friendly.

Wayside cottage is a well presented and equipped cottage in the quiet village of Wrelton. The owner was very helpful in response to a couple of queries we had and the bottle of wine that was there on our arrival soon helped us relax into the restful surroundings. The cottage is well placed for trips to York, the coast, Castle Howard etc. The local pub does hearty evening meals and offered a warm welcome. The only downside for us was the lack of comfortable seating in the living room - the sofas flattered to deceive.

Children's modern playground nearby was very useful. Garden is also safe for small children.

Great cottage with everything we needed in an ideal location, a stones throw from Pickering in a small quiet village. Close to all the places of interest we wanted to see.
