An ideal base, see Hastings Castle built by the Duke of Normandy. Take a trip to Battle and observe the very spot that changed the course of history forever in 1066. The surrounding area offers glorious countryside, National Trust properties, gardens and several vineyards where you can sample the local wines. Rye and Camber Sands are a short drive away.
