Was great for our needs as a group with ages ranging from 18 to 78. Llanberis Town, a 10 mins walking distance was great, also fab walks from 2 mins away for dog lakeside

Thank you for everything, we enjoined our stay in the property and definitely we would like to come back to you if we had a plan to visit the Snowdonia again.

We were really impressed by Ynys Wen from our first view of the property as it is such a lovely cottage with great parking facilities and a totally secure mature garden for our two well behaved dogs. In early April we tested the heating out fully and were really warm especially on the return from climbing Snowdon! Our guests were wowed by the amazing kitchen and very happy with the clean spacious accommodation provided, including the warm and comfortable bedrooms. This is a great base to explore Llanberis and Snowdonia. The owner was very helpful and I would recommend the property and Llanberis as an excellent holiday destination.

I stayed at Ynys Wen with 5 family members in April. It was a very comfortable let, and we enjoyed our stay. It was quite cold, as it snowed on the mountains on our first night there, and I'm pleased to say the heating worked very well. Some of us were from the Southern Hemisphere and needed a bit of warmth! The lounges were both very comfortable. However, the remote for the DVD player in the main lounge did not work, which made it a bit inconvenient. I also had a problem with the shower in the main bathroom. I could only get hot or cold water, nothing in between. I'd also suggest some shelves for toiletries in the showers and bathrooms. The WiFi coverage was spotty, as soon as more than one device was connected. Otherwise, lovely.

Wanted somewhere that would accommodate a group of 9 people and it did exactly that. Was lovely and warm, had plenty of cutlery, good large areas and sofas to socialise, 2 separate lounges if some people just wanted a nap in front of the fire, and lovely a close to Llanberis so could take advantage of all it had to offer without using the car. Also I have no idea what the owner washed the duvet cover in but it was sooooo fluffy I just didn't want to get out of bed in the morning.

I came up here with a group doing a charity walk and we had a great time. The house has a beautiful downstairs with two living rooms and a stunning kitchen. It is about 4-5 minutes walk from town and next to the lake. Would strongly recommend. Can fault nothing. Log fire, space, the mountains on the doorstep. Heaven.

We booked this house from the 27 Dec 13 to 03 Jan 14, the house is in a great location and about a 3 minute walk into La Lanberis. Downside - the gas fire in the front room has been cut off due to a faulty valve, although the heating was on the house was alway cold and damp. There is no double glazzing in the property and therefore all doors and windows were always drafty and covered in condensation, this led to the bedding being damp and our close becoming damp after a couple of days. 2 of the doulble beds have seen better days and were very uncomfortable, the whole house could do with some TLC. I would not recommend this property to be booked over the winter months.
