13a Kinder Road Countryside Cottage description

Holiday home
13A Kinder Road is a welcoming first floor apartment in the Peak District village of Hayfield. There is a living room with double bed, dining area and sitting area with electric fire, a separate kitchen, and a separate shower room. Outside is a lovely shared garden with furniture, and parking can be found by the roadside. 13A Kinder Road is close to excellent walking up the Kinder Plateau or through the lovely countryside of the Peak District National Park, and is also a great base for Buxton, Bakewell, Chatsworth and more.

Situated in a wonderful rural setting on the north western edge of the Peak National Park is the delightful High Peak village of Hayfield. This lovely, peaceful place is a popular destination amongst walkers, who value its proximity to Kinder Scout. For more experienced ramblers, there are the green foothills and russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, whilst those with less hill-walking knowledge can enjoy the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills to the west of the village. The start of the Pennine Way - Edale – is also just a few miles away. In addition to excellent walking routes, the village also provides pubs, cafes and restaurants whilst the near vicinity offers attractions such as Goyt Valley, Castleton - with its famous Blue John Caverns - and the popular spa town of Buxton.

The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Excellent location in centre of the village ideal for pubs. Very picturesque scenery for walking and cycling. It was a good little flat; the owner and operators very helpful would have no hesitation recommending to anyone.

A beautiful location right in the midst of the lovely village of Hayfield. Our host was very friendly and keen to make our stay comfortable. The flat was very clean and well equipped with ample towels and spare bedding. It is in a good location for sightseeing, walking and eating out , with friendly locals! Would definitely recommend!

The apartment was roomy, very light, well-equipped and everything worked. The aspects from the large front window (church) and the back window (flower filled garden) were very pleasant. There are plenty of little shops a short walk away and several pubs serving good food. Good walks start from the Hayfield village.

We had a lovely break in the property - perfect size for two people and everything was catered for (even picnic bags and a blanket!). Location was perfect as well. Overall - brilliant!

It was a home to home holiday in fact, we felt at home. We were so comfortable that we didn't feel like going home again. This is to show you how happy we were during the holiday. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one.

The flat was nice and quiet and the location for walks without using the car was excellent. Facilities in the village were excellent with good food in the pubs. Friendly people around nearly everyone spoke to you as you walked. The walks ranged from quite challenging to easy. This suited our needs from day to day. The weather was good but there was a sign in the flat saying 'if you can see the church it was just about to rain if you couldn't it is already raining'. So I think that we were lucky.
