This house is fabulous, spacious and very comfortable. Located within easy walking distance to all amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would highly recommend this house to all. Would definitely stay here again.

We were part of a large family group staying in 2 holiday cottages in this Carna. We were so lucky with the weather and spent lazy days on the beach having big picnics and bringing me right back to family holidays when i was young. To say that our kids had a ball is understating it. I'd forgotten how in Ireland you can find empty beaches even in the middle of summer. The water was turquoise and clear and all we had to do was put the younger ones in wet suits and they were happy to go in and out of the water all day. We mostly catered between the 2 houses we had rented but we ate once in the local hotel and once in Clifden in 'Guys' restaurant. Both were really good and not too expensive. Both catered well for kids. Almost every evening the men (typical) strolled up to the pub behind Morans shop for a pint of the black stuff. The owner there got to know them and on our last night when I went for a drink there I received a very warm welcome. It was lovely. The reason I am putting this in is because of the previous review. Its obvious they picked the wrong location for their holiday, and maybe should look at going to a less rural and less peaceful location and maybe somewhere nearer to off licences and large supermarkets. We picked up some wine at good prices in the supermarket in Clifden on our day trip to North Connemara, but we spent most of our time around Carna on the beach. Id highly recommend this house as it had everything we needed and was really comfortable. I am fussy about having a comfortable bed and I got one here. The location for us was perfect. Will definitely return again

The house had comfortable clean beds and a sunny garden which were the main things we were looking for. The town only has 178 inhabitants so was very small. 3 shops but none that you could really buy supplies in if you wanted to use the self catering facilities and no off licence (we bought off sales from one of the pubs at high prices!). The hotel served ok food the pub was better but would take around 25 minutes to walk there. There was a bar at the end of the road but not the sort of place an outsider would want to visit!
