We chose 1A Church View for it's location as its close to the Yorkshire Dales and has good train access to Leeds. A week wasn't long enough to explore the area, hopefully we will have the chance to return. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The property was close to a Co-Op, there were two pubs just over the road and a lovely pub 10 minutes walk away. The train station was very close by for a trip into Leeds. The local people were friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was warm and cosy and we felt very much at home there. It is a lovely base to explore wonderful Yorkshire and all it has to offer. For anyone wanting to tour the county and have a relaxing base to stay we cannot recommend 1A Church View enough. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly.

1A Church View was much better than expected for the price. A marvellous conversion- warm, well-furnished and clean. Vaulted ceiling with amazing chandeliers - could hardly believe we were in somebody's garden!

The property was in a handy location.

The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, there was nothing we were short of. The renovation has been well done, the living area in particular is a lovely space. Menston provided a range of services within walking distance, including a supermarket, bakery, newsagents and several pubs that offered reasonably priced meals. It was a good base for exploring the dales and nearby towns, such as Leeds and Harrogate.

The cottage was very good. The owners had left a welcome basket which was a very nice touch with basic things plus some treats, chocolate crisps and beer. The scenery on the Dales is magnificent and the week went too quickly.

The cottage was ideal for our purpose. Being in the village centre it was close to two pubs, which was great for a night cap or meal out. We found that the cottage was provided with all the essentials and more. The welcome pack was a nice touch and unexpected.

This is a really lovely little cottage. It is modern, clean and attractive. Even though it is very close to the main house, it is very secluded and private. A delightful place to stay.

A lovely place to stay with nice people. Just right for 2. Well equipped and a high standard of fittings. Good recommendations in the booklet for pub food.

February 2013
We received a warm welcome and a very generous starter pack. The central village location was perfect, everything you could need, and being behind the owner's property it was away from the road so very quiet. There were beautiful, and challenging, walks when the weather allowed and 20 minute rail connections to Leeds or Bradford when it was not so good. It would be possible not to use your car for the whole holiday.

The welcome pack was outstanding and the whole cottage was so well laid out. We have been to many cottages over the years but this was one of the best,if not the best.
