2 Bryniau Bychain Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
2 Bryniau Bychain was originally built in the 19th Century. It has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for groups of 4 people. It has been decorated to a high-standard throughout and has a side-garden in which you can enjoy a glass of wine on a summer's evening. Although there is off-road parking for 2 cars, the local shops and pub are only a mile away. 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome as part of the group.

On the edge of the beautifully named 'Happy Valley', is the small, picturesque village of Cwrt. It nestles between the historic town of Machynlleth and the stunning coastal village of Aberdovey. Nearby is the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park. Aberdovey is famous for its temperate weather, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course. With its pastel coloured cottages, Aberdovey has served as the inspiration for many artists in the past and continues to do so today. In addition, it is endowed with some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dunes that roll north to Tywyn. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sport enthusiasts. The fish are also popular in the local restaurants, many of which make seafood their speciality. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy mountain ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dovey and Dysynni valleys nearby.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Gas stove in sitting area and portable electric fires in rest of rooms. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, flat screen TV, DVD, iPod dock, WiFi. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed side garden with lawn, patio, garden furniture, BBQ and hillside views. Two dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: A Macdonald Timeshare Resort open to public with in/outdoor swimming pools, tennis, leisure centre, bars, restaurants etc 1 mile. Note: This property is on the main estuary road towards Aberdovey and as such some road noise may be heard from within the property.

July 2014
The location was stunning and the cottage was decorated to a very good standard. It was clear that the owners had invested a lot of thought into the appearance of the cottage and ensured it was equipped with everything you could need during your stay. They even left some cakes to welcome us to house, we thought this was such a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and the property was kitted out with good quality appliances. The owners left a very informative welcome pack and tons of information about nearby areas and ideas for days out which we found very useful.

April 2014
We have been visiting the area for many years now and needed to find new accommodation as we recently got our first dog. We were delighted with the cottage as soon as we arrived and the dog loved the safety of the garden with uninterrupted views of the sheep! We loved the interiors, stylishly decorated, comfortable furniture and beds that gave guaranteed good nights sleep every night. We really felt it was a home from home, and can't wait to book our next holiday at No 2.
Mr Collins

The owners use the cottage themselves and so the general condition of fittings are a lot better than many other cottages we have used in the past. Lovely area that we have not visited much in the past.
Mr Robinson
September 2012
We liked the fact cottage was only a few miles from a lovely beach, the cottage was just how we wanted a cottage to be and it allowed pets too.
Mr Mutton

I adored this property. It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. So many properties that allow dogs are not up to this standard.
Mrs Sidley

June 2011
Beautiful cottage that was a pleasure to come back to after a day's exploring, with all the facilities that we needed - we were sorry to leave. We were apprehensive about the proximity to the main road but found that it didn't bother us when we were there.

We all enjoyed the welcome basket provided by the owners. The books, DVDs and games were appreciated as we had some bad weather. The cottage decor was lovely, and had a lot of useful extras. The cottage was also in a central position for exploring the area.

A wonderful cottage and location for a break - we returned thoroughly relaxed. If we plan a return holiday to the same area we will definitely look at renting the same cottage.

November 2009
Every comfort was provided for. The weather was atrocious, but we had every comfort we could want indoors.
June 2013
A fantastic holiday, benefitting from glorious sunshine at the beginning of the week. The cottage is well equipped, the kitchen is very user friendly and has everything you need. The place is bright and airy and some how manages to keep the 'cottage cosy feel'. The bedrooms are large and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom is basic but perfectly manageable, only downside is that there isn't an upstairs toilet. Proximity to the road was not a problem to us,we quite enjoyed seeing the odd tractor pass by the window. We found plenty of places to eat in the local town of Machynlleth, plus we got some real bargains in some of the antique shops. And most importantly to us, the surrounding area is a veritable rabbit warren of beautiful walks. Highly recommended!
October 2013
I found this cottage beautiful, with everything included I could need. The house has great furnishings and was warm and cozy.
Mr Davey
June 2009
Beautiful cottage, very nicely decorated, fantastic location. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.
June 2012
We spent a week in this lovely little cottage with our two greyhounds. It was exactly what we wanted peace and quiet, lots of lovely long walks on the beach and up mountains. The cottage has all mod cons and is very well equipped. Lovely small garden with beautiful views. Only down side there is no mobile phone signal or internet access, not a huge problem but just something to know.
December 2012
sykes service team was very helpfull the location were it was is very good many good places to visit .gottage was very well equiped .it was very relaxing and it was nice to sit in the garden and watch the red kites [birds of prey] flying over the cottage .it was a lovery place to stay very clean .
December 2009
This was a really lovely cottage in a very good area for touring. The main road outside didn't present any problems. We picked a dreadful week unfortunately. The weather was cold, windy and very wet but the cottage was warm and welcoming with every home comfort. Our dogs quite happily spent the worst days lazing in front of the fabulous log burner effect gas fire which warmed the whole cottage. Sadly we had to leave a few days early due to local flooding but we'd love to go back.
November 2010
We were impressed by the owners welcoming ... you can see everywhere in the house the love for details and care!
