24 Apple House Terrace description

Holiday home
Apple House Cottage is a lovely, end-terrace cottage situated in the village of Luddenden, just four miles from Hebden Bridge. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom and one single with pull-out bed, as well as a bathroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside is ample roadside parking, a patio and a terraced garden with furniture. Apple House Cottage is a lovely cottage from which to explore this delightful part of the country.

Luddenden is a conservation village in Calderdale, close to Hebden Bridge. The community is first mentioned in 1284, and in 1375 a corn mill was moved from Warley Town to exploit the Luddenden Brook. Nearby, the attractive town of Hebden Bridge is the home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Gas central heating with ground floor underfloor heating and woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample roadside parking by the cottage. Front patio and rear terrace garden with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub 5 mins walk. Note: Second floor attic room has a maximum head height of 5ft and is accessed via a carpeted staircase. Note: Rear garden is quite steep, therefore young children should be supervised. Note: There is a steep, stone external staircase up to the cottage from the road. The cottage can also be accessed via shared, flat right of way past the other cottages in the terrace.

The cottage was just fantastic in every way! The kitchen was very well equipped with every last detail thought of and we put it to good use! The owner met us at the cottage and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Luddenden is a lovely part of the world and we will be back! A first class cosy, clean cottage, loved it!

The cottage had been refurbished to a high standard making for a lovely, relaxing and comfortable home from home. Superbly located to open countryside and ideal for walking without having to use the car was a real bonus. Greeted with a warm welcome from the owners and good food and friendly atmosphere at the Lord Nelson pub made our holiday enjoyable. I would recommend staying here to family and friends and would love to return back in the future.

Liked the location, with walks from the front door or the path straight out the back, the light and airy kitchen and the underfloor heating, plus the log burner downstairs.

It was convenient to book and good to meet the owners on arrival, who were kindly in touch during the week to make sure everything was OK. The cottage was well located for having delightful walks from the front door and also for reaching local towns by car for interesting shopping opportunities. The cottage was very comfortable and warm with beautiful views and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable week.
