3 Low House Cottages Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
Just two minutes walk from the centre of Coniston, this modern terraced cottage offers first class accommodation in this popular Lakeland village. Nestled below the magnificent 'Old Man of Coniston', the property is a bright and sunny one ideal for a family or a few couples looking to explore Cumbria. There is also parking for three cars, making this a good property for couples with 'grown-up' children who want a family holiday.

The pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park. Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, this village makes a superb touring base with Ambleside, Hawkshead and Windermere just a short drive away. The wider area has some of the country's best walking, mountain biking and climbing spots. All of these activities can be tried locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, or through the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. With the lake near by, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy dinghy sailing and canoeing, or if you're in the mood for something a little more relaxed, visitors can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola'. Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows and the award winning village of Hawkshead are all close by making this an exciting, varied location.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The cottage was comfortable, warm and surprisingly very spacious. There was a safe area for parking the cars and the property was situated within an excellent location. It was in a really good position for walkers and there were lots of walks starting from the house. We would highly recommend this for couples or families.

Although you need to pass through narrow winding roads, the cottage is excellently located in the central part of Lake District. It is very compact and everything was clean. Cheap price. Very satisfied.
Mr Bell

The best thing was that we got lucky with beautiful sunny weather throughout. The cottage was very sweet and was perfect for four of us. The location was ideal, close to the shops, petrol station, nice walks and Coniston Water. Although located close to the town, the place was nice and quiet. The owner has thought of most needs for the guests to stay in the cottage. Fully equipped kitchen, wi-fi and tv - dvd player were helpful. The beds were comfortable and we had a very nice sleep everyday.

May 2011
Nice accommodation to stay in, plenty of amenities and the views were outstanding! The Lake District is untouched and out of this world. The Sun Hotel does spectacular food. It's just lovely being up in the mountains/ hills away from it all, just yourselves, the wildlife, views and the sound of the waterfalls gushing. Absolutely beautiful place and we'll back for another holiday!
Mr Douglas

The cottage was perfect and felt like a home from home. It was very well stocked with everything (and more) that you could need. Parking was excellent. The cottage was very quiet and peaceful although it was only a two minute walk to the village which was very handy. We would definitely stay here again!

May 2010
Excellent property. Very clean and very comfortable. Well-situated. Excellent walking country. Cottage very conveniently situated for eating out in local eateries.
November 2010
We enjoyed our stay at Low House. The cottage was clean with a good amount of space. One thing that could improve things would be to provide a travel cot and highchair, we had to take ours and it was a squeeze in the car. I think this would put me off booking somewhere that doesn't provide these in future.
Mr Douglas
March 2010

Mrs Keating
March 2010
A great location, easy access to other holiday spots.
March 2011
located close to all local amenities and not too far from some nice walks second visit and will probably come again
August 2014
The was a great property within easy walking distance to the centre of the village, and the takeaway / chip shop on the corner for rainy nights. The rooms were well furnished comfortable with plenty of built in storage in the bedrooms. There was a large area to park behind the houses but getting back onto the road from between the buildings was quite tight with a blindspot to the main road and the only real downside to the stay.
January 2011
House was in a good location, close to local shops etc Excellent base for all our walking needs We were able to take a dog without extra charge all equipment in the house was good and plenty of everything Excellent value for money Only one downside for a family would be comfortable seating in lounge really only for 4 adults and the house can take 6. Would be ideal for 4 adults and 2 children
