The property was spacious, beautiful and cosy. There was a good size TV and bed and the cooking utensils were more than we expected in a self-catering accommodation. We would definitely come back again...well worth the money!
Mrs Bennett

A really nice conversion of an old industrial building with an enormous interior courtyard setting. Very well furnished, spacious and comfortable. Great location in a quiet street, yet only a minutes walk into the centre of town to the Co-Op.
Miss Fenner
January 2014
It was a fantastic cosy cottage, well furnished and in a gorgeous location just a moment from the lake. The owners were very helpful in advance in letting me know what equipment was already there to help cook Christmas dinner. They had even decorated the cottage beautifully for Christmas including a tree.
Mr Jones
November 2013
Excellent cottage, large comfy sofa and bed. Local shops close by and location was good for days out. Great place to stay, really enjoyed out stay and we were able to relax.
Mr Root
August 2013
Lovely modern cottage, very surprised to find it so spacious. Very light and airy feel, due to the large sky lights. Cottage is in great location, lovely little village which is nice and quite. There is a small supermarket very near to the property which is very useful.
Mrs Oliver

A really nice cottage, lovely furnished and very comfy. The location is good, next to a supermarket but in a small town, so it won't be loud at night. Just a few minutes of walking and you're looking at beautiful Bala Lake. Allows for a relaxing and pleasant stay in Wales.
Mr Portier
July 2013

July 2012
Beautiful contemporary accommodation for a romantic get away. Felt like you were in the middle of nowhere yet the shops were 2 mins away. Had amazing weather and used it as a base for road biking which was perfect in this area. Would have moved in if we could!
Ms Drew
July 2012
We liked the relaxed feel of the property - plenty of openness, especially in the galleried bedroom. There is the most comfortable sofa ever! Pretty quiet even though the property opens onto pavement/road. Very close to shops for that forgotten item and nearby to restaurants and pubs, if wanted. Very close to the lake for lovely walks and the steam railway.
Mr Smith
July 2012
The cottage was immaculate and we had everything we could have needed. The location was central and it was really easy to find. Will definitely be considering going back again.

Really enjoyed our week here. A very attractive conversion of part of the old workhouse, the property is very well equipped and one of the best self-catering places we have used. A great base for walking the Berwyn and Arenig hills - my reason for booking it - but Bala has plenty to offer apart from hill-walking. Highly recommended!
September 2012
We spent the Jubilee weekend at this cottage - couldn't fault it! Great location - 5 mins walk to the lake from the front door and 2 mins from the pub and shops! Despite the weather being predictable for a bank holiday, the cottage was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day walking/climbing. Beautifully decorated and although right on the road, wonderfully peaceful. Open-plan aspect was great and the sofa was fantastically comfortable!
Mr Roberts

The location was central to a lot of other villages and towns, and Bala itself had everything we needed. 4 Bythynnod yr Aran was a lovely comfortable base that was very spacious and all we could have wanted.
