8 The Glebe description

Holiday home
8 The Glebe is a traditional detached cottage situated within walking distance of Donegal Town. This cottage sleeps seven people in four bedrooms, consisting of three doubles, including one on the ground floor and a ground floor single, as well as a ground floor bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with open fire. Outside there's off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden with furniture. 8 The Glebe is a great base for visiting many excellent places in County Donegal.

The bustling market town of Donegal Town is situated at the point where the River Eske flows into Donegal Bay. The town was founded in the 17th century and offers Donegal Castle and Murvagh Beach. There's excellent fishing, beaches and golf in the area, and within driving distance are the Slieve League, the Glenveagh National Park and Malin Head.

The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

The property was lovely and quiet and we all enjoyed the garden looking out into the track. The house was great, had good sized bedrooms and storage. The owner was lovely and great to communicate too. We loved every minute of the holiday. We would definitely go back and stay there!

This is a lovely family home, just like you have arrived at your friends house. Plenty of space for the the family. Comfy bedrooms and a large kitchen. Very clean and tidy. Personal touches with the paintings add character. Quiet area close to town. The owner was wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed in house at the end of May for a very short visit. Only available accommodation left that weekend. House was in a nice quiet area and was convenient to the town. The house itself is in need of updating. There was not one set of matching mugs. Four of us stayed in the house and struggled with only one bathroom. There was no lock on either the bathroom or cloakroom which was awkward! I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the house especially the bathroom. Wifi was advertised but we could not access it and in the house there was a note which said there was be a charge.
