The location of the house is superb, very tranquil and relaxing. The house itself is cosy, well laid out; there was always a quiet nook for reading if you wanted some peace! The swimming pool, sauna and games room were all thoroughly enjoyed by our party and were marvellously relaxing after a busy day hill walking and wildlife spotting. If you enjoy walking, wildlife and tranquillity this is the place for you, especially if you appreciate a warm, private swimming pool and sauna to ease your aching joints after a day on the hills and mountains!

Access to the property down half mile of very poor potholed lane, property built 2002 and not maintained well at all. Decor in poor condition and mould evident in bedroom and loft hatch. Beds in main bedrooms are only old doubles and the mattresses were thin and frankly disgusting. We complained and were told there was nothing wrong with them and no one else had complained, yet others had noted the mattresses over 2 years ago. Three were changed during our stay and replaced by the cheapest mattresses that IKEA do, these were too short for the beds by a good 4 inches so your feet hung over the ends! Property is not near beaches or anything less than 25min walk, so have to use car down the suspension wrecking track everytime you want to go out. Respectfully the property is nice but really does need bringing up to standard regarding beds, decorating and cutlery and furniture (everything actually), the crockery looks like it was picked up at a car boot sale and nothing matches, the sofas are knackered and lift the cushions if you dare and you will find they are torn and disgusting. The quilts are old and yellowed and stained as are the old pillows. Our kids could not sleep on the single beds as were so uncomfortable and ended up putting them on the floor. Pool area was ok but no loungers and top of sauna (good) was filthy, pool itself wants draining, blasting and painting or refurbishing, plastic end tray which includes steps and jacuzzi is discoloured and dirty with age. Heating worked well though and the place was warm. Shower in our bedroom was filthy on the shower hose and all showers are electric and so very poor flow rates. For the money we were very disappointed and requested the owner meet us to go through the issues, he refused unfortunately and told us to leave if we weren't happy-this is unacceptable when you have paid for a holiday a long way from home and have no idea where else you could go to at short notice. Graeme was rude and shouted at my husband during the call whereby my husband was trying to point out that none of us could sleep on the beds due to their poor and dirty condition. This was witnessed by us all as phone was on speaker. Bedroom windows could not see out of as double glazing units were blown, as were pool area Windows. Not a good experience at a all.
