Bay Cottage description

Holiday home
Bay Cottage is a terraced cottage in Haworth. This character property has a first floor king-size double bedroom with woodburner and en-suite, a ground floor sitting room with woodburner and a lower ground floor kitchen diner. Outside is off road parking for one car and an enclosed courtyard. The amenities of Haworth are on the doorstep, including shops, pubs, cafes and direct access to many wonderful walking routes.

Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway. Visit Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Gas central heating with woodburning stoves. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Sky Movies, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 small car in the rear courtyard. The owners have provided a visitor's permit for roadside parking outside the cottage. Enclosed courtyard with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs less than 1 min walk. Note: Stone staircase from ground floor to first floor is a little worn and fairly steep so caution required. Note: Cottage can be accessed from High Street into sitting room, or courtyard/parking area into kitchen. Note: Stairs open directly into bedroom. Note: This property has steep, narrow stairs with a handrail on one wall, the other side is open, which means they may be unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.

Adorable cottage, a little gem! Perfect location, just step out of the door and you're right in the heart of the village and just a minutes walk away from some amazing walks. The owners were extremely helpful. Never complete feedback forms - will definitely be recommending this to friends and family

The cottage had a lovely, homely feel to it along with lots of original features. The cottage is well-placed for lots of lovely, long walks and there are several pubs in the immediate vicinity. The dog- friendly status is a bonus and our dog enjoyed his stay as much as we did. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return at some point.

The cottage was quirky with loads of character. Its location in the heart of Haworth could not have been better, it was easy to get to surrounding areas. We really enjoyed the holiday and it went very quickly. Anyone who stays in Bay Cottage will not be disappointed, it was probably the best cottage we have stayed in.

The cottage was wonderfully spacious but at the same time very cosy, and I was very pleased to find parking right outside so easy. It is in a fascinating small town where everyone is very friendly and there is so much to explore and see.

Fantastic location in the village. The Cottage had a lovely cosy feel to it, it's ideal for a couple wanting to explore all things Bronte. In a good location to start surrounding walks, and there were plenty of places to eat drink in the village open, even at this time of the year.

A beautiful cottage, perfectly located within a one minute walk of the main part of Haworth but still very quiet. There was parking right outside the front door. An excellent base for exploring the area. We would highly recommended. We will definitely return next year.

This was the most idyllic, warm, friendly, cosy cottage. We simply loved it. The fact that is was so dog friendly was a great bonus. The location could not have been better. It is excellent for the main street with its pubs, shops and parsonage, and it is also only 3 minutes walk from the moors. We really could not recommend this property highly enough. A complete Haworth gem. So lovely to come back to it after a walk on the moors, or a evening out in one of the pubs on the main street. We will be back !
