A warm welcome was received from the owner. With two teenage children in the party the tennis court and table tennis facility were particularly welcome. This was one of the best facilities we have visited.

I have stayed at many holiday cottages but I have to say that Beech cottage was one of the best. It actually felt as though you could live there full time! It had everything necessary, was peaceful and although the owners lived across the way, they were not intrusive at all.

Everything was great at the cottage, it was like being at home as it had everything you might need. This allowed you to either cook your meals at the cottage or choose to eat out if you wished to. Beech Cottage was lovely, the accommodation was spotlessly clean. The cottage was equipped with everything you could ask for and more. The welcome pack was excellent, the owners had thought of everything, I could not fault it. It was out in the countryside away from everything, the perfect place to de-stress but also near enough to the coast.

The property was fantastic and just what we were looking for in that it was secluded enough to give us privacy, the owner didn't bother us at all. June 2012
The property owners bent over backwards to welcome us and familiarize us with both the cottage and the surroundings. They supplied us with an extensive food welcome pack which was totally unexpected. We did not want for anything all week as all seemed to be provided even down to a hair dryer. There was nothing we did not like about our holiday as it supplied exacly what we expected from the brochure. We would have no hesitation about returning in the future.
Ms Dalgleish

The hospitality of the owners and a lovely welcoming pack of cake, flowers and essentials. I felt this property was under-rated by your assessor. A real pleasure to return to this lovely cottage after a day out and return in the dark to a warm welcoming 'home'. Would recommend for winter break.

The location for various sea side towns, the peacefulness of the cottage location, the history of the surrounding areas and the cottage it self was fantastic. We just wanted to live there, with the very friendly owners and the lovely people in the local social club in the near by village that we found. Perfect!

This was an excellent cottage very comfortably furnished and very, very clean. The welcome from the owners was excellent lovely scones and jam and a bottle of wine as well as other thoughtful gifts. January 2016
Just returned from a fantastic two weeks in this cottage for Christmas and New Year. We had a wonderful time - fantastic kitchen diner - living room is cozy and warm - great double doors leading onto your own patio - great in the summer. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Two large bedrooms (1 kingsize bed and two singles) and lovely bathroom with separate shower cubicle. There is also a separate toilet and utility area downstairs (off the lounge) so have gone home with all clean clothes - fantastic !!! I cannot recommend this cottage enough - there is also a cute little hotel about a 5 minute walk away - so if you fancy a drink in the bar or a meal out - it's very nice. The kitchen in the cottage is beautifully equipped - The owners Roz and David made us feel very welcome. They have horses and a lovely black laborador called Lass who is always pleased to see you. Table Tennis and a tennis court are also at your disposal. Had such a relaxing time - mobile reception is not good here but you have full WIFI in the cottage so can make calls on your phone via what's app or TuGo if you are with 02 like me and need to keep in touch. I was also able to watch the odd movie on my kindle fire too - no buffering or interference !!!! Loved this cottage very much - home from home x
August 2014
This is the best cottage we have stayed in. It is very well equipped, comfortable, very clean and peaceful. The owners are really helpful and can't do enough for you. There is nothing to fault in this cottage, a little gem in the wonderful Devon countryside, ideally situated between Honiton and Taunton.
May 2014
Really well equipped cottage with a warm welcome from Ros who had prepared a cream tea for our arrival along with some essentials and wine (in the fridge). A conveniently situated base for us to explore the Jurassic Coast.
July 2013
We had an excellent weekend, helped by lovely weather, in a beautiful part of the country. Good walking area, scenic countryside, easy access to the coast and very friendly hosts who lived opposite. We would happily visit again. There were four of us and the facilities were superb and of high quality. Only downside is the downstairs toilet which opens into the lounge.

June 2013
Beech Cottage is an oasis of tranquility set amongst the rolling Devon countryside. The drive in is breathtaking and the reception by Roz was warm and friendly. Every detail has been thought off and delivered to a very high standard. The cottage is warm, comfortable and all modern amenities are there to make your stay trouble free. The surrounding area is beautifully kept and my granddaughter loved the two dogs, who are exceptionally well behaved and friendly. The cottage is ideally located for exploring East Devon, with most attractions around 30 mins away, but if you didn't want to venture out you could enjoy a game if tennis, football on the AstroTurf, stroke the horses or just relax and read a book...simply fabulous. Thanks to Roz and David for making us feel so welcome.

A wonderful welcome, and a fabulous cottage very stylish and spacious. A real home from home. Will reccomend to friends and family and book again if we are in that area again.
August 2011
I will sum up my holiday in five words..."I cried when I left" Personally, this was the best holiday I have ever had. I needed to relax, relax? I was almost catantonic! Just sitting on the doorstep with Mrs Thorpe's Black labrador cuddled up to me was my idea of Heaven. The cottage was better than my own house!! The location was beautiful and remote. I highly recommend this holiday cottage if you need to get away from the rat race and reflect on how lovely this country is, a million miles from the pressures of life. Go!! book now!! (Save me a fortnight)
