Beech Lane farm house is a lovely, well equipped and large holiday home. There was plenty of room to eat, relax, play a game and even enough room to have some time on your own, which is very important to teenagers! We had a great time in Ireland, not in the least because of the warm welcome and help to any questions we had of the owners.

What a lovely farm house. Beech Lane Farmhouse was a very well renovated and equipped with all we need. A warm, and lovely holiday house. And what a space ! Located in the kind country fields but still very close to Kilkenny and also a visit to Dublin is not too far away. We loved it there and want to thank the owner for the warm welcome. They made us really feel at home.

The owners were terrific hosts. We have been holidaying in Ireland for the last four years and Beech Lane Farmhouse is the best place so far. Will be recommending it to everyone.

The highlight of our stay, I have nothing but praise for this place. It was comfortable, well appointed and there was plenty of hot water for everyone to use. The landlords could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again.

The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is lovely and a perfect location for exploring Kilkenny City, Co Kilkenny and beyond. A very comfortable, relaxing place to stay with a great view of the countryside. No hesitation in highly recommending to others.

The Farmhouse could only be described as superb. It was like a home from home ( only better with more facilities than our home). We could not accurately describe how good this property is and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anybody.

Lovely warm and friendly welcome. Great location for touring the area, and good train links to Dublin too. Would happily recommend to others.

The location is lovely and was so peaceful. We were not far from a pub or from the city of Kilkenny. We were made very welcome. The accommodation is lovely and we had everything we needed. There was milk and a lovely apple pie in the fridge when we arrived which was a nice touch.

Beech Lane Farmhouse was a perfect place for a family of 4. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Free Wifi and basic TV selection available. Our hosts John and Canice welcomed us warmly and left us with plenty of information about the area and property. And we enjoyed giving the horse Prince in the adjoining field an apple or two!

It was a lovely house very close to everything. Kilkenny is a great town and there were some great golf clubs in the area. We had a great holiday and look forward to going back.

We choose this cottage for its good transport links to Dublin and the coast. The cottage is well furnished and offered sufficient room so that each of our 3 children had their own space. We were all made to feel at home by the owners and our Springer Spaniel was no exception. The owners were great ambassadors for Ireland. Prior to arrival an offer of tracking us down was given, should we get lost, this was not needed as clear directions and GPS coordinates were provided. In addition to the fair sized garden there is a good-sized driveway, which was also used by our children. The house was clean throughout. We were blessed with such good weather (one day of rain) during our fortnight stay that we were in the cottage a lot less than we had expected. As a family we would thoroughly recommend the cottage to our friends and family.

The owners were friendly and helpful & provided tea, milk sugar & an apple pie on arrival. Good views of the surrounding countryside & it was nice to look out & see the cows. The horse in the field behind the house likes apples! Plenty of useful leaflets about local attractions. You have to pay a cash deposit of 50 euro for the gate remote. There was a wooden cot, high chair & stair gates available. Bring your own waterproof sheet & baby bedding. The house was very cold when we arrived & took a couple of days to warm up properly. Heating is by electric heaters (electricity not included in rental price). Hot water is from an immersion tank & it ran out quite quickly. The pump to the water tank was quite noisy, esp at night. Bedrooms are not a bad size and 2 of them have en suite facilities, but the double beds were not especially comfy. All beds had electric blankets. Towels & a haidryer were provided. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. The wet room had visible dust on the white plastic grab handles, there was quite bad mildew on both showers, and there was what looked very much like a pubic hair stuck under the clear mat in the downstairs bath! One of the basins was loose & one of the heaters was coming off the wall. Some of the kitchen equipment was scratched and /or dirty - the frying pan and kitchen knives in particular. Plastic plates & beakers provided for little ones. Nearest supermarket is in Kilkenny, 8km away. Is a dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer - bring your own powder / tablets for them.

Stayed here on our first family holiday with our Granddaugher & family.& our little dog Poppy. What a fantastic cottage ! John & his wife met us when we arrived early & explained how everything worked , nothing was to much trouble. We had lovely weather & made good use of the barbecue & patio ! Even managed to feed their horse Prince! 3 bedrooms all on suite plenty of space to relax & chill out everywhere was well maintained & very clean a credit to the owners. Would love to return next year . Thank you for a wonderful holiday

The house was as spacious as on the pictures, and very clean. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. It was great for our 2 year old son, it even had toy cars and a ramp to play with. The yard is well fenced and without any dangers for a 2 year old. The trampoline is a nice soft one and the house is near the top of a hill and gets good sun in the afternoon (when the sun is out, it's Ireland), and we had a visit from a friendly horse. There is a friendly cat around too. The TV is not really big, but we don't really watch TV. The wifi internet access is stable and reachable through the house.

We decided to visit Ireland in order to take my Mum to her childhood home for her 80th birthday. We booked the accomodation on line and really didn't know what to expect. From initial arrival where we were greeted by the owners as friends, right through to our departure we would not be able to make any negative comments at all. The accomodation was first class and it was like staying in a five star accomodation. The owners were friendly and helpful at all times and my Mum's birthday treat was made complete. Thank you so much for everything and we will be back at some time.Would love to do it in the summer.

Wow!! What a great house to stay in. Extremely comfortable and clean. The trampoline was loved by our children who spent many an hour bouncing away. The fact this property is on a working farm was a real hit as well. The kids loved feeding carrots to the horse, watching the tractor and trying to stare out the cows!! The owners were also extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The house is also in a fantastic location. Kilkenny city is just beautiful and a very easy 15-20 minute drive away. The surrounding countryside is also amazing. Among the many Highlights of our trip were Woodstock Gardens, the Reptile Zoo in Gowran, Mohan Falls and everything about Kilkenny City. I would thoroughly recommend this house to stay in. If we come back to this area again, we won't even bother to look elsewhere - nothing can beat this house.
