Beechwood Cottage is a charming, modern property, attached to the owner's home alongside a second holiday home, 2.5 miles from Great Ayton in North Yorkshire. With three bedrooms across the ground and first floor, each with TVs and en-suites, the property can sleep six people. There's also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner, while outside is an enclosed patio garden, private to the property along with 21 acres of shared, pretty meadow. Set close to wonderful walking trails and cycling routes, yet a short drive from pretty market towns and villages, Beechwood Cottage is a great choice for a family get-together.
The attractive village of Great Ayton lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, at the foot of the Cleveland Hills. Great Ayton is famous for being the boyhood home of Captain Cook, and is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. The village consists of a mixture of pretty stone cottages and some new development housing. A good base for market towns, the lovely countryside and, just a short drive, the east coast.
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
