We thought this holiday cottage was ideal for our needs especially as this is a dog friendly property, also the garden was secure for our dog. The views from this cottage are to die for and we will be going back again, no noise, absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended for peace and quite with the pub less than a minute away, what more could you ask for.

Peaceful location with stunning views. There was a good selection of books and DVD's in the accommodation should we have needed them, and there was also useful information on the surrounding area with details of numerous walks. The owner was also very helpful and most welcoming. All in all a most enjoyable stay.

Although small and compact the property has everything you need, the area is beautiful and there are plenty of beautiful places to walk and visit. The owner of the property was welcoming and helpful, giving us information on the best places to visit. All in all, we had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time and would certainly visit again.

The house was nice. Simple, but perfect for us (a couple and dog) the kitchen is very tiny and basically equipped, we bought a cheese grater from a local shop and left it there for future guests. It's a shame there are no pictures of the bathroom, I nearly didn't book because of that, but the bathroom is actually lovely and spacious. The views are amazing on a nice day! Unfortunately we didn't have brilliant weather but still... the garden is nice and spacious and enclosed so I was confident my dog was safe. The area is lovely with a few nice walks right from the house, and a pub literally across the road! (That let the dog in too, but make sure you ask before going in) We didn't see the owner to talk to once, although they were there during our stay as their car kept coming and going (generally quite late at night :/) They didn't speak to us at all and on arrival we just had a few post it notes with messages on, no welcome pack or local information. I called before our stay to ask about key collection and local vet information, the woman wasn't very friendly on the phone either :/ Warning, the hoover is rubbish, if you have a dog, hoover every day to make cleaning easier at the end of your stay, it took me an hour to hoover the tiny amount of carpet because it was a pretty poor hoover...

Studio apartment is attached to a house which also has a "small holding" of animals. Parking for one car is on a shared "farmyard drive" which like the footpath to the entrance, the lawn completely covered in chicken droppings. When you arrive back in the dark and open the door the light for the lounge is situated in the kitchen behind a door on the opposite side of the room. The rooms were in need of a good clean, cobwebs everywhere and had obviously been there some time. When you took clothes out of the cupboards and wardrobes they felt damp. The bathroom had mould around the bath trim and the corners of the walls and the ceillings had black mould in evidence. Maybe at one time the accommodation was in good order, but now it is a disgrace. The step up and over the threshold made it impossible to get in and out without treading muck into the room. A dreadful experience

The property had spectacular views across the valley. It was an ideal base to visit the area from. The owner was very helpful and friendly at all times. The property was as we expected and kept to a very good standard. Best of all ... the pub just a very short walk away.

Owners could not do anoth for use, very frindly even put up frinds in a moble caravan, our two dogs loved the 4 week stay also. Local pub was also very frendly and the walks got the nod from our dogs.
September 2012
