Outside, off road parking is available for three cars and there is a rear decked area with furniture. With lovely countryside to enjoy around your cottage, and with the coast and towns such as Perth and St. Andrews easily accessible by car, Brook Cottage makes a great base for a holiday in this lovely part of Scotland.

The small town of Falkland is a former royal burgh in Fife, Scotland, located at the bottom of the Lomond Hills. The town is home to the impressive Falkland Palace with its attractive gardens and original tennis court, now NT owned. Enjoy scenic walks in the Lomond Hills Regional Park, visit the Fife coast or try your hand at St. Andrews' golf course.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Location was great, the views are fantastic and there was lots of space for the 5 of us. The kids loved the twin room. Good space for parking and really helpful communication from the owners. A lovely house overall, we would definitely recommend. Conservatory was lovely too. A good place to stay for driving around Fife.

This was a property that ticked all the boxes. It was well appointed and comfortable, and in a quiet location with plenty of places to walk the dog. Ideally located for exploring the Kingdom of Fife and beyond. Close to the beautiful Falkland village with its castle and well kept old village properties. There were loads of places to eat and farm shops selling a vast array of local produce.

The views, very peaceful and great bus service and plenty of places to eat and drink within easy reach of Edinburgh,Dundee, Perth and St Andrews. Having a conservatory is a bonus as well as having its own gated driveway.

Very peaceful and restful! Suited the needs of all who stayed. Close enough to be accessible to home, but far enough away to be a retreat! Great to have the log fire, especially on those cold, blustery nights! Enjoyed the experience and will return.

While I was not there for holiday, I really loved this property! I travel a lot for work and do not really like staying in a small hotel room. This allowed me to grocery shop for myself and enjoy the company of friends that I know in the area. Absolutely loved it! ***** (5 STARS)

The accommodation at Brook Cottage was excellent. It far surpassed what we had expected. We felt at home as soon as we walked in and although we were anxious to return home to loved ones it was hard to leave. If a return to Scotland is in our plans we will look no further than Brook Cottage for accommodation.

We really enjoied it sooo much

House smelled so strongly of damp that all clothing had to be washed on returning home. 8 steps to lower ground floor turned out to be a flight of 11 very steep stairs. Drive was like climbing a Munro and had hardly any turning space at the summit. Crumbs on kitchen surfaces and in bread bin. Bath was dirty. There was a lack of cleanliness throughout the whole house.

Our second visit. A lovely, cosy property with stunning, uninterrupted views and sunsets. Perfect location for exploring Fife. The property was very well equipped and the washer/dryer came into its own this time.
