This charming detached farmhouse, dating back in part to the 17th century, sits in the Glynn Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. Pet friendly, it has been thoughtfully furnished to a very good standard. It stands in 3-acres, comprising a large garden and a paddock, ideal for kicking a ball around or exercising dogs, and backs onto farmland. The garden is an ideal place to dine al fresco or just relax under a tree with a book.
The well-fitted kitchen is ideal for enthusiastic cooks, with both oil-fired range and electric cookers. There are two living rooms, one on the ground floor which is classically furnished with a wood burner and feature stone wall, and one on the first floor (a converted barn with original beams) which is light and airy with views over the garden: it too has a wood burner. There is an extensive collection of local and other reference books and a good selection of fiction.
Clinnicks Farm, which is listed in the Domesday Book, (Clinnicks is an old Cornish word meaning ‘Heather and Gorse’) is situated halfway between the historic towns of Bodmin and Liskeard, ideally positioned to visit the many attractions this area has to offer including the new cycle hub at Lanhydrock House (National Trust), and it is just a few miles down the road from the country cycle paths at Cardinham Woods and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. It is 20 minutes from the Eden Project and a few minutes from Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best. The pretty villages of the south coast are within easy reach as are the surfing beaches on the north coast. Beach 12 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub serving food 1 mile.Step to entrance.
