BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION SET IN 10 ACRES WITH RIVER AND FISHING LAKE ON SITE - SLEEPS 2 2 This delightful property which is approached by a gravel path has been refurbished to a high standard. The property is situated in a beautiful part of North Devon and only 5 miles from the Cornish border. It is approximately 2 miles from the village of Woolsery which has a post office shop and fish and chip shop and approximately 3 miles from Bradworthy which has a few small shops butchers and great local pub. The cottage is adjoining the owner s farmhouse (where a warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured) and opposite a working dairy farm. Enjoys a good size fully enclosed private garden with access to fields that run down to the riverbank and lake. Ideal for summer picnics or for those just wanting to relax and watch the varied wildlife with deer kingfishers otters badgers and foxes often being spotted. Also enjoys a stunning night sky on clear nights. The property is only a short drive from the beautiful Devon and Cornwall coastline with its spectacular towering cliffs rocky shorelines and long stretches of sandy beaches. The area provides wonderful walking opportunities with the coastal path and the famous Tarka Trail which gives many miles of safe track for both walking and cycling. Hartland Quay and the picturesque village of Clovelly with its steep cobbled street are also within easy reach. Away from the coast there are lots to see and do with many attractions including RHS Rosemoor Gardens Tapeley Park Gardens and the wide open spaces of Exmoor and Dartmoor with their breathtaking scenery. For the children The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are only a short drive. Leisure facilities: fishing on site please bring your own rods. Guests are welcome to walk around the owners 10 acres which has well kept grass paths around the boundary lake and river. Guests can allow their dogs to run free over the owners fields. Use of giant outdoor chess set. Farm activities: children are welcome to collect the eggs from the free range hens and feed the chickens by prior arrangement. The accommodation which has some steps and gentle sloping floors in places offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with flatscreen TV large en-suite shower room and WC and 1 twin (with zip-and-link which can be a double on request). Bathroom: off the kitchen family size with shower over bath WC and washer/dryer in separate cupboard accessed via a couple of steps. Lounge: cosy lounge with flatscreen TV Blu-ray DVD Freeview iPod docking station and woodburner (first basket of logs included) making this an ideal cottage for a cosy getaway in the cooler months. Selection of DVDs and board games available. Kitchen: leading off the dining room down steep cottage style steps with electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Outside: fully enclosed private garden with table chairs and a BBQ area accessed from the back door which enjoys the sun during the afternoon and evening. Steps leading up to grassed area with private gate to access owners land. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen towels electric central heating and wi-fi included. 2 dogs welcome.
