Corner Cottage Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
Corner Cottage is an end terraced cottage in the pretty village of Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin room and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside is roadside parking and a small patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Set in beautiful countryside, Corner Cottage is a superb family holiday home in the Yorkshire Dales.

The attractive village of Ingleton is nestled beneath Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. A mile outside of Ingleton and down the Hawes road are the well known White Scar Caves. Open to the public, these caves display a huge number of caverns full of stalactites and stalagmites, with one cave home to a huge underground lake. The superb ‘Falls Walk' offers an interesting circuit which takes in some of the impressive cascading waterfalls of the area whilst the proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake distract make this an excellent place for walkers.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and stairgate. Roadside parking within 20 yards of property. Small patio to rear with furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. What a fabulous little cottage in a nice wee village. The facilities were lovely, really nice and although only there on my own with my chocolate Labrador Ozzy, there would have been plenty of room for a family. The living areas were cosy and the kitchen well equipped. Really felt comfortable and safe, and the walks in the area are fabulous. The fire was awesome, one of the reasons I booked and it didn't disappoint - a real cosy wee cottage. Will definitely recommend.

Corner cottage was warm, comfortable and larger than expected. It is in a great location, with fantastic views, a short stroll to great dog friendly pubs, serving wonderful food. Just two minutes to the main street/square with a small selection of local shops. The waterfall walk is always a must do and Malham Cove is a short drive and well worth doing the walk there. Great value and we would definitely go again.

The Cottage was lovely inside and very suitable for the size of our family. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook properly. Ingleton was a lovely village and had all we required in terms of amenities. The playground is very nice and the village shops were full of temptation. Skipton is nearby and we were lucky to see a re-enactment at the castle which was fabulous. Bolton Abbey and Hesketh Farm Park are family favourites and always worth a visit.

Just come back from a week staying at Corner Cottage with my family, and have to say what a lovely cottage. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of, plenty of pots and cooking utensils, and the bedding was better than our own! Would definitely recommend this cottage, and also stay here again.

Corner Cottage is a wonderful, characterful, high quality, hugely comfortable place to stay; 'rustic chic'! ie beautiful old cottage but with all mod cons. Beds very comfortable with high quality bedding. Everything was pristine and clean. Accommodation is spacious for a cottage. The cottage is within easy reach of Ingleton pubs and shops, beautiful waterfalls walk very nearby, and easy access to breathtaking Dales scenery.

Corner cottage is in a great location only minutes from the shops and pubs in Ingleton. Access was easy via a key safe, and there was on street parking close by (less than a minute away) and we were able to pull up to the front door to unload the car. Outside, there is a small garden patio area at the back with a picnic table and BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped with views over the hills from the window while you're doing the washing up. There's a washer/dryer but no dishwasher. In the lounge there's a great AGA log burner with plenty of coal supplied, and the cottage is centrally heated so it's lovely and cosy. The beds are comfy, and even though the cottage is next to the road it was quiet so we weren't disturbed by traffic. There are no wardrobes but plenty of drawer space. There are steps between most of the rooms so perhaps not suitable for small children or anyone with mobility problems. The owner helpfully rang us soon after we arrived to check everything was OK. Ingleton has a nice selection of shops including a Co-op, and independent supermarket, a good bakery, chemist, newsagent and traditional sweetshop. There's also a lovely toy shop and an excellent gallery. There are three pubs - we'd recommend the Three Horseshoes for the friendly quiz on Wednesday nights.

Loved our stay :-) Can't fault it. Cottage was gorgeous and clean, was brilliant that we could bring our dog with us as well so was a proper family holiday. Warm and cosey and had a wonderful nights sleep. Did the waterfalls walk which was actually quite treacherous as was extremely Icey!!! We fell over a lot :-) but was beautiful. Had a nice meal in the pub across the road where dogs also welcome. It was so relaxing at night times curling up infront of Fire watching tele :-) Wifi as well which was a bonus. Will deffo be back :-)

We stayed for a week in May 2013 at Corner Cottage, it's a lovely cosy but spacious cottage, the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. Lovely views from the kitchen and patio area, a quiet place to sit and relax.
September 2014
The cottage is an absolute delight! Only a few minutes walk into the village, with lots of amenities and a pool to keep the kids happy - great for families. The cottage was perfectly clean and has everything you would, need home from home. It was great to be able to bring our dog, Archie with us, and he particularly enjoyed lazing in front of the wood burner in the evening after a long walk up in the Dales. The village pubs were all within easy walking distance of the cottage, but we didn't have a particularly great experience in The Wheatsheaf. We did however have the most amazing meal in Chapel-le-Dale (about 2 or 3 miles away) at The Old Hill Inn, which is apparently where Winston Churchill used to stay. The spun sugar desserts were really something! The Chinese takeaway, The Water Lily, in Kirkby Lonsdale, was also very yummy! I would highly recommend Corner Cottage, and owner, Luke, made us feel very welcome, and was on hand for any queries via text/mobile. He was particularly helpful when I left an entire drawer of clothes behind, and was quick to post it back to me. Nothing was too much trouble. I would love to go back, and the Dales are truly spectacular! Thank you, Luke for all your help - we would love to come back soon!!! Very happy campers ;)
