Cosy Cottage Romantic Cottage description

Holiday home
This stone-built barn conversion is situated adjacent to the owner's home on the edge of Dobwalls village, just three miles from Liskeard. Well decorated and furnished throughout, the cottage provides cosy, comfortable accommodation for a couple. With its lovely double bedroom, warm and welcoming living area with modern kitchen, sitting room and dining area, the property is a wonderful romantic hideaway. Visitors can also enjoy the small garden with its fantastic views across the fields to the valley beyond.

Surrounded by open fields and wooded countryside, the rural village of Dobwalls is located close to the market town of Liskeard, the slopes of Bodmin Moor and the southern Cornish coast. This wonderful little town is situated close to the many delights the region has to offer, including the picturesque fishing harbours of Looe and Polperro. Visitors can take a trip to Siblyback Lake to enjoy the wonderful sailing, fishing and watersports on offer, or travel a little further afield for excellent walking opportunities on Bodmin Moor. The renowned Eden project is within 15 miles whilst Plymouth is just a 30 minute drive away. Nearby Liskeard station also means that you needn't worry about the car. With its old harbour district, renowned aquarium, and good selection of shops, restaurants and theatres, this pretty little settlement has something to suit all ages.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

The cottage was a great base to visit different areas in Cornwall and the local did great food with friendly service. As for the cottage and owners, real effort was made here with extra touches which had obviously been thought out to make the stay more pleasant e.g. milk, tea, coffee, eggs and even two bottles of wine on arrival with toiletries also provided. These simple touches made the stay really enjoyable despite the bad weather.
