We booked this Cottage to enable us to have a family holiday with children and grandchildren. The playroom made an excellent addition as the children could be entertained while the adults had some well deserved relaxation time. The house felt welcoming and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff from the site were very helpful and accommodating.

Great accommodation. The games room was really useful as having a TV and sofa provided extra living space, as well as games tables. Overall excellent, and would return without hesitation.

Beautiful big cottage, more than big enough for 7 of us and at a very good price. The cottage was very well furnished and cosy - it felt like a home! The surroundings were perfect, the cottage was very child friendly with a fitted stair gate, high chair, travel cot and changing mat all readily available. The range of toys in the playroom was amazing - my little girl loved the well-stocked and maintained play kitchen!

The cottage was lovely, really inviting, and each room looked pretty. The rooms were generous, the house generally was well equipped, the kitchen in particular but also the bedrooms with additional blankets, pillows, duvets. The garden was great and varied, with a couple of different areas to enjoy. The house felt private.

Lovely scenery and near to nice village. The spaciousness of the house, the open fire and the 3 king size beds were all very good. The games room for the children was a bonus - for the adults as well as the children!

We really enjoyed a property that was amply big enough for 8 adults, a baby and a dog and didn't have to compromise on anything. The proximity to the village was ideal and had we children of a suitable age the facilities (play areas) on the camp site would have been wonderful. The ease of travelling on main roads until we were very close was also good as we all arrived at different times due to work commitments.

Eight of us stayed here over the Christmas holiday. The cottage was a delight with everything we could want and the location was perfect! Walks straight from the door and 2 wonderful pubs in the village. It was a wonderful holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at cote ghyll with a group of friends. It had all the amenities needed, along with some extras such as a games room and toys for the kids our big kids! Staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. As others have said, milk and chocolates on arrival were a lovely touch and although there was no phone signal, there was a phone box in the caravan park if you were really desperate to contact somebody! Hope to stay again!

Just returned from a week at the cote ghyll holiday cottage & what a lovely holiday we had. The house is lovely. Really clean & beautifully decorated. Dog friendly as well & not at all like what you might expect from a dog friendly house, not a hair or scratch in sight & no 'dog smell' you some times get in dog friendly houses. Sleeps loads of people & the beds are all really comfortable. Travel cot provided for our little one too. Village is a short walk away & with three great pubs is such a bonus! Staff were really helpful & quick to sort out any issues we had. Didn't want to leave & would love to stay again!

The house was fantastic in a very quiet and beautiful location, great for walks. Really nothing to complain about, other than the absence of mobile signal in the house. We had a great time and would come back again.

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely cottage and it had everything you could possibly want and more. So homely, very well equipped and all the home comforts you could need. We went with my husbands 82 year old Mum and our 8 year old granddaughter and both loved Cote Ghyll Cottage despite the difference in ages. Yes, I agree that there wasn't any signal for mobiles or Internet but as we were only there 3 nights it wasn't that bad. As soon as we drove just out of the village a signal was found. Another lovely touch was the owners had milk in the fridge and a lovely box of chocolates on our arrival. What a nice touch. The village is only a short drive and for those who are fit enough would easily be able to walk it. Great pubs in the village who do exceptional food. All a great time was had in Osmotherly and round about.

Spacious house in lovely setting - ideal for a large party. Also pretty village nearby with shops, pubs etc.
