The cottage was very homely and we were made to feel very welcome by the owner. We had a lovely family break away from everything.

A very nice comfortable cottage, a real home from home. One of the best (actually probably THE BEST) we have ever stayed in.
December 2014
The owners were so friendly and very helpful. They had left us numerous items to make our stay enjoyable. A wonderful cottage in every way!

This was one of the nicest, if not the nicest property we have ever stayed in. Very friendly host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Lovely setting and a lovely cottage all round. We would certainly recommend and would hope to return again some day.

This was a really homely, friendly cottage. It is filled with beautiful patchworks and cushions made by the owner which give it such a warm feeling. There is so much to do in this part of the UK that we could have easily stayed for another week and still not done everything! The beds were super comfy! The kitchen was nice and easy to use.

A delightful cottage in lovely surroundings. The owners are very friendly and helpful and had left a welcome pack of freshly laid eggs from their chickens, welsh cakes and locally produced raspberry lemonade. Plenty to see and do within 30-45 minute drive as well as on doorstep with some lovely walks on the neighbouring footpaths. We visited Hereford, Leominster, Hay on Wye and The Elan Valley to name just a few. All in all a very enjoyable week and a place I would have no hesitation recommending to anyone.

The cottage and area were superb. I would like to say thank you to the owner for a comfortable stay. Wales is a lovely place, with plenty of places to go for both young and elderly. We will go back again.

On arrival, the owner had left fresh eggs, baking and homemade lemonade for us. She also came to greet us and check that we knew how to use the utilities. We felt very welcomed and the cottage had everything that we could possibly need. I would definitely recommend this as it is close to lovely walks in Kington where the people are also very friendly and helpful. A truly lovely place to spend a holiday.

The cottage was prepared for our arrival with some basic food supplies waiting for us. The cottage was immaculate, clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly helpful and on hand when needed. There was so much to see and do we couldn't fit enough in. It was situated on the edge of the Black Mountains with amazing views all around. The people were so friendly were ever we went.

This is an area that we have wanted to visit for quite some time. We could not have picked a better base. The house was gorgeous, the immediate area very quiet and picturesque but within easy reach of either breathtaking countryside or towns. There is plenty to see, and is ideal for anyone wanting to get away from it all without being too isolated.

A beautiful cottage in a delightful, unspoilt setting that proved to be an excellent base for walking and exploring the local area. Mrs Price, the owner, made us feel very welcome, further enhancing our wish to return another year.

Court Cottage is a lovely, spacious and homely property. The large garden was excellent for the children to play in and full of wildlife. The owner was extremely helpful and we were met with a generous welcome pack. The surrounding area is very rural and scenic with plenty of places to visit.

Stopped here with two teenagers. The cottage is roomy with 2 double and 2 single bedrooms. Mrs Price who owns it has an amazing taste. The ability to put abstract things together and make rooms look great. Quirky but great. She should be an interior designer as she has a great eye. Big garden, barbecue and parking for two cars and more by campsite if needed. There is a campsite at the rear but it is not noticeable. The cottage has decent wi fi and a 22" flatscreen tv containing a DVD. The kitchen is well equipped and pleasant and there is a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is an onsite shop that is a real gem full of great stuff milk, eggs, bacon and essentials. A real lifesaver at times. It's an honesty shop. No service just leave the money. The place is pretty remote . The pub across the road is closed and the nearest chip shop is 3 miles away. Same distance for a convenience store and be warned not much stays open past 9! We found the local pubs disappointing for food and not that inviting. We drove 17 miles away to Leominster to eat which took about 30 minutes. Also the house suffers from damp so will feel a bit wet to the touch , you smell it when you come in. You acclimatise and it does not spoil the holiday but it is always there . We travelled to the big pit, national showcases, Hereford, Worcester all about 60-90 minutes away. We also went to mount Snowden but that took 3 hours. The roads are all A road and not fast easy drives. Windy and bendy and if you go fast you may meet something coming the opposite way! All in all a great holiday and a decent cottage.

This property was perfect for our planned cycling and walking holiday - only the weather dampened our spirits a little bit. I stayed with my three children and we hired bikes from a local hire company. The house at Walton is a perfect base for a number of walking routes and cycling routes, and a perfect cosy retreat from some of the summer weather!
