Exton has the benefit of a riverside cycle path and train station, which provides easy access to Exeter and Exmouth. There is a pub serving food within easy walking distance, which offers a superb and varied menu.
Just 1 mile away is the quaint fishing village of Lympstone, midway between the old port of Topsham and the seaside resort of Exmouth. Here, the sandy beaches are at the start of the Jurassic Coast and form part of the South West Coastal Path. The estuary is a renowned nature reserve, and is a haven for wildlife and migrating birds. Woodbury Common is close by, and Dartmoor is an easy drive away. There is a cycle path which runs from Exmouth, through Lympstone and onto Topsham and the Exeter Canal, running most of the way along the river. There are many National Trust properties all waiting to be explored, and for children, Crealy Adventure Park is just 3 miles away.
